I am glad that this podcast exists cos hearing about guy issues from the Nigerian man’s perspective is important for me as a woman. I especially say this cos I have been left more confused from having a series of long term serious relationships with my fellow Nigerian man. In fact, I am almost at the limit of a botherline tired state. I have never had cheating problems or been in relationships with uncaring men. In fact, I have always been spoilt in all my relationships and we have been committed. In fact, when I am in a relationship I have tunnel vision and eyes for only the man I am dating. However, 3 of them have serially ended due to non-acceptance from their families; 2 were due to class issues (meanwhile, I am a physician currently practicing in the USA though I wasn’t at the time but it was in my long term plan) while the last was cos I don’t yet have a blue passport (something I am actually on a journey to getting). Long story short, I am botherline tired and I don’t know anything anymore. And yes I am Nigerian from Anambra state. I find it hard to actually date multiple men at the same time cos I am not just that person. I guess that’s part of the reason why I am in a mess now. Most women will not be able to actually deal with just hanging out when she wants something more. I have stayed away from guys who tell me that cos it’s confusing especially since I already started catching feelings. It’s not personal but more so for my mental health. I guess it’s cos of the uncertainty that comes with it and it may be time wasted. Like I said, I am more confused than ever! I honestly low key wish I was betrothed as a kid cos I am tired! Long comment! I ended up venting! Good content by the way. Thank you!!!

It's Really that hard but when you find someone that can make you love them and hold on to them with Hard Effort, Trust & Commitment please stay cos A lot of men would never Cheat for the Right Effort, Real life & Trust. Just Share and b Vunerable to trust just him cos we for keeps. We actually scared of Women cos dey trip Nd fall off unnecessary even after Marriage cos dey keep demanding Consistency like we going all out to get even higher Degrees than Phd like it can't be any more difficult than Partnership. In our World of today we throw away things rather than just Repair and hold on to.

I feel like some Guys out there are running away from commitments out of selfishness and greed . they want to eat their cake and have it. Although like Muyiwa rightly said there are too many options and as such it takes a lot of Discipline and self control to stay committed to only one person. However it’s still a matter of Choice! Wonderful Episode guys🔥 ✅💯

This episode has my head in a spin with the whole we are seeing each other but we are not dating, but we are going out but we are seeing other people but don't ask or I ll ask like YO!! Aren't we too old for these games, like define your situationships people. I believe that two mature people can come together and define what they are doing per time based on where they are in their lives, whether they are catching cruise, friends with benefits, committed, every relationship can be defined. Other than that, people are just being deceptive for their own selfish reasons.

Commitment is about respect. If you don't respect who you're with you won't be as attentive/caring to their feelings. We've all taken "breaks" from relationships but doesn't mean you jump under a new person in between nah 😂 I can't even think of entertaining others while I'm healing or figuring stuff out unless someone broke your heart 😂 Maturity and age don't always coincide. I know old fools and young kings. To each their own🤷🏾♀

im here for this! definitely didn't realize the time flying but this was a really good topic!when it comes to commitment honesty, from a woman's perspective if you find someone you're really into the rest is irrelevant. Temptation will come but you won't be interested hence the ripping of the number in front of her but my thing is even if your friends tell you from now til kingdom come "youre crazy, youre mad" etc at the end o the day are these men happy in their relationship? Its always the single ones calling you crazy when things happen but secretly wishing they were you or had what you had. Definitely a two sided convo and definitely could go DEEEP into the convo. Im here for it! Good job guys!!

It stomped me too. Feel like I am not smart or nuanced enough to understand what he meant. It’s like saying I want to pass the bar but I don’t want to be called a lawyer.

@@Melissa-td6ln I think dating is just getting to know each other whilst going out on literal dates (e.g. dinner, museum, tours, shared activities etc.) no tight strings attached, whereas having a girlfriend is being committed and exclusive to just one person
@Melissa-td6ln2 жыл бұрын
@@AkwaIbomDoll Yeah, I get what you are saying hence why I don’t understand him. He was talking about exclusively dating a girl but don’t want to be called a boyfriend. Maybe because he sees a nuance/difference between exclusivity and the boyfriend/girlfriend step…?

I just listened to this on the podcast and I love the honesty (low-key binged on all the episodes last night). Some of the comments raised more questions :) For example when Olumurewa explained that he'd be cool with the person he's dating seeing other people, which is fine. However I was just wondering that if she says that she's going out and she says that she's going on a date and you tell her okay cool nice have fun (these weren't the exact words btw), won't it then have another effect as in the girl might think you aren't that interested, so she'll put less effort in building a relationship with you even if its a friendship? I mean even though you both agree that you are dating and seeing other people, to actually talk about other dates might it not have the opposite effect of what you are trying to achieve by dating each other? Or is it that you don't want to give away that you are interested and you are trying to play it cool? I know I wrote a lot lol but I was just wondering

I get what you're saying, and it's a nice theory, but it doesn't work that way most times. The same way you have a best friend, and she knows she's your best friend even while you have other friends, is how this would work too. You guys would know you're each other's priorities, while the others are just for the cruise 😉

I have to say, if there is a break and it's not defined as the end of the relationship, I feel its best at both sides to not have any extra affair with someone else, cause its no sign of respect for your partner or yourself. My opinion 🤷🏽😊.
@StanleyGrooves2 жыл бұрын
Yeah! That's where the issues lie. Personally, I see no reasons for breaks if not for "FREEDOM". The need for "breathing-Space" is what brings about Breaks. So, during the Break, anything that happens then, is clearly outside the relationship.
