That’s because homemade guac doesn’t have all that bs salt, sugar, and fake flavors that fastfood places put in. Homemade is more likely more healthy without all the chemicals and preservatives

I can easily tell the difference with horchata. However, some people aren’t great cooks so it can be hard with taste tests because you assume if it doesn’t taste good it’s fast food.

Im a white guy that eats del taco and real Mexican food often .. and i know with my eyes closed i can call out del tacos nasty rubbery flour tortillas. How the hell did these guys get any of that wrong? And no fast food places put two corn tortillas together like that such as a street taco is always... So, it's mind blowing how they got so much of this wrong.

I can't speak on what is autentico, but I LOVED Del Taco when I lived in an area where we had one. Not that common in the South (US, Bible Belt) It just seemed to have so much flavor for a drive thru. My favorite Mexican spot (Charanda's iykyk) will mop the floor with them every day and twice on Sunday BUT Del Taco was MILES ahead of other fast Taco spots.
