Finally someone did a real Dji mini 4 pro rth test 🔥
@ernieschatz37832 ай бұрын
If the Mini 4 Pro doesn't get mapping the home point and flight path via fw update, I would guess the LiDAR on the A3s is heavily involved such mapping. Either that, or mapping on the go takes more processor power than is available on the M4p. I was watching Idaho Quadcopter and he started his flight with a dronie from just above the home point. When he did the RTH, the Air 3s did essentially a reverse dronie down to the home point! Mind blown.

Good to see this test. Thanks for testing this since the Air 3S was able to do so.

Was your obstacle avoidance set to APAS when you RTH? I was able to perform auto return in my garage with my mini 3 pro. I was shocked. It happened a couple of months ago. My RTH was set to me not aircraft on take off

Hey bro the home point updated at the wrong time and you need to try it again
@gregb15992 ай бұрын
Do you even own a drone? As you need satellites to get the home point in the first place and under buildings, no satellites!

How do the Ukrainian drone pilots pull the coordinates (lat/lon) off of the screen cursor using DJI drones??? Can this be done with the mini3 or mini4?
@vincegonzalez72492 ай бұрын
I asked on your last video. I did a 25 minute flight with my Mini 4 Pro but the 25 minute flight was broken down into 5 to 6 minute video clips instead of a full 25 minute flight. What changes must I make to get one full flight instead of five 5 to 6 minute clips.?

Try the opposite. Launch the drone from the street, then fly into your car port so that it's under the roof and then hit RTH to see how it gets out
@michaellaframboise76462 ай бұрын
I take off from a 15th floor condominium balcony in downtown Montreal and then go inside to relax and fly around the city. I would definately pay the extra cash.without hesitation, for a drone that would fly back through my patio doors and land in front of me.
@gregb15992 ай бұрын
Believe it or not but if your condo has an underground car park the drone is smart enough to return to that underground car park, one video he even flew it up a flight of stairs on sport mode then flew around a few buildings and it returned in sport mode. Like many DJI drones, it supports cellular so can keep connection even when you are underground!

I don't know why everyone's getting so hanged up over the air3 s flying through a window or undercover . The way I see it is you should be "in line of slight " all the time anyway . don't get me wrong the the Air 3s is a good drone , but I wouldn't buy one just for that feature .
@gregb15992 ай бұрын
Well, it could be used in rescue fly through a partially collapsed building that is fairly dark, and knowing it can get out safely would be useful. Pretty much anywhere where there is no GPS available.
@cheekyoscar13532 ай бұрын
@@gregb1599 yes I absolutely agree I can see a need for that 👍 but for 80%+ of the public would probably are not going to use that feature for outside flying .... personally for me I wouldn't buy it just for that feature ...
@gregb15992 ай бұрын
@cheekyoscar1353 I was just being a bit cheeky. I know it's a gimmick for most. And most certainly not that important for the average person.
@gregb15992 ай бұрын
@cheekyoscar1353 But for future bigger drones that could be used for rescue in dark caves or damaged buildings with a night vision camera, now that will be impressive!

Let's all rush out and sell our air 3's and pay £1200 for the 3s because it can land in a garage lol I don't think so 🤣🤣
@gregb15992 ай бұрын
@dronedays450 There are plenty of places that are not garages where satellites are not available. It's just an added safety feature, as well it main advantage is night flying in countries that allow that without permission. Can see this being a huge advantage on the new Mavic drones with night vision sensors in damaged buildings people lost in unmapped caves any place where its too dangerous to send a person and the knowledge that the drone will return and not get lost like drones without lidar which is currently all other drones
