Hollywood Bowl 2022 is a more recent equivalent. It’s interesting to see how they’ve matured in that 6 years. All the performances from the live stream are out there.

All three of the trio raps in the 'can't hold us'. In this one, while you were shocked by Mitch rapping, Avi sang bass and did a wind sound effect at the same time.

You Might want to watch Pop springs. It was a recorded concert in Japan. It has three original songs of which Mitch Raps on one and their evolution of Michael Jackson. Have you done their cover of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's "Can't Hold Us"? All three of the trio rap in that.

Notice that Kevin is doing the beats AND the whispered "one less problem..." part in the refrain. This one is so much fun! Scott really gets up into his high range, Kevin and Avi are insane, Kirstin's little "Tell 'em Mitch" was so adorable, and Mitchy Mitchy rapping is a treat!

That's the amazing thing. Mitch can rap, Kevin can do cello and piano. Matt is a drum expert. Scott can play piano. They are amazing.

I knew you guys would love this one! Kevin's beatboxing is astounding and did you notice that he is the one that whispers "one less problem without you" and does it while beatboxing?!? Arianna Grande's original came out in 2014, and so did this Pentatonix cover. In the early days (2012-14) they were building their brand by doing a capella versions of very recent pop hits. In 2014 they released PTX IV (Classics), with covers of hits from past decades. Also in 2014, they released their first full album, a Christmas album to try to follow up on the success of their 2012 PTXmas EP.

Those live recordings of "Problem" clear up the matter of who exactly is doing the opening bit. Many people think it's only Kevin, as his is the only face showing. But Avi is doing the low bass beat while Kevin is just doing the percussive beat on top of it. The video producer was simply holding off showing Avi for the "Listen to me" (which some of the Avi-cionados use as their alarm clock wake-up sound or as their ringtone).

#PTX This is only one of several videos where Mitch or others in PTX rap - they're really pretty good at it! Can't Hold Us, Thrift Shop, and a number of Superfruit episodes. Remember: this is originally sung by Ariane Grande (who is a soprano) - but Scott is absolutely killing the lead in this video! The original song had Iggy Azalea doing the rap section, and Mitch substituted "Mitchy, Mitchy" for "Iggy, Iggy" - everything else in the rap is pretty much word-for-word, including the ending "Like what?". And this video is one of my favorite looks for Kirstie!

Great reaction, great song, PTX are sooo good, whether with Avi or with Matt. It’s been a while since you reacted to Avi, who just released a new EP. I hope you’ll react to some of the songs, for instance the happy “Good good love”.
