Great video as always EG. I'm happy to report I just got charged for my Star Wars table via PayPal today. I ordered on 11/11 if this helps anyone with later order dates. I live in IA and know Console Kits is also out of IA. I understand he received his SW table in 2 days. I'm hoping I'll be able to say the same. As others have reported in the past, my Gamestop order details still shows "Awaiting product availability". I'll keep everyone posted and will most likely post videos once received. Cheers!!

Distribution/ availability disaster aside I am only worried about QC/ longevity. Most people seem to think the A1UP is an immersive, fun unit. Watching this video, seeing the price point you came to with your unit, I think the tradeoffs make sense.

For a one stop shop that features a taste of just about everything vpin offers, these A1up units are very appealing... which is part of why people are upset about the delays and lack of availability. Longevity and providing access to parts that will wear out - like the solenoids - remains to be seen....

Ricky - thanks! And yes, the Zen designed games will play in 1080 (although you might have to turn down anti-aliassing/shadow quality). The Williams tables - particularly ATTACK FROM MARS - need to be turned down to 720.

Glad to see the mini pc system working. I’ve been tempted to go the build it myself route, but am not a pc guy, Mac house, so no old donor system available. All the research I’ve done suggests needing a decent video card, which a mini pc can’t do, but maybe that’s for the big 4K builds and visual pinball. I’m happy with just zen, I play on iPad, and they work on android boxes so mini pc why not.

It def works... BUT the "real" world Williams/Bally tables need to be at more like 720p, or at the very least lower settings then the Zen tables. Also, it's nice and cool in the gameshack, so I wonder how the unit will perform in summer. None the less, a neat, simple, and small solution for a build. Thanks for watching!

Yeah. not too much difference. Zen really lets you "tune" the graphics to your particular set up, which is one of the (many) strengths of their system.

Hi living in the UK Arcade1ups tables aren't readily available, i prefer your route rather than having set tables, pinball FX3 has some great tables with challenges. Look forward to following your build will you be adding other systems too like visual, future and vpx pinball?

I’ve built a few full size VPins before with DOF and all the toys… My brother wanted a budget Vpin for his basement and asked me to build one for him. I took a leap and bought the little Mini Pc and gave it a shot. No dice. It functions but way low FPS. In my opinion FX3 is unplayable with this mini PC. I will say this little guy runs FX2 very well.

I know this is old, but when I downloaded the Zen Pinball app from the google play store it did not have a dmd option. I may have missed it, but are you using the epic version running under windows?

Great videos, I am just about to order the awow and buttons from your link, can you add links to the Amp you used and bass shacker. I will be going with just using fx3 on steam. V Cee - right now, the 8gb version is actually cheaper then the 6gb because it's on sale ($189). Honestly, I'd try to get the 8gb in any event. There's no video card in this little box, so more memory is better. Thanks for watching!

Honestly can't remember! It's pretty easy to get the code from Zen - I've heard people just using pics from the internet and that passed muster.....

do you know a good encoder for android? i have a setup i did. I just so happened to buy this same encoder you got think RetroPie and android would be compatible. lights up but it doesnt work. purchased an SJ@JX encoder that specified android and its either a dud or im doing something wrong because not even the board lights up

Encoders do go bad - I think I've had two go belly up on me, Considering their price, it's not that bad. Def try another encoder before trying something else....

What you'll need to do is adjust the screen placement in the menu. It is, without a doubt, the most tedious part of the process as it'll need many tweaks before it's where you want it.

It'll be completely different from your setup, unless you're running the exact type of monitors (I'm running a 20" dell for my backbox). That said, I can look it up....

It can, but it's not going to match a full-on PC. Most of the Zen games work pretty well, even at medium video settings. But most of the Williams tables can only be played at the lowest possible video settings. For my new vpin build (videos coming soon), I went the opposite way, and have a pretty decent gaming rig for it. Worth it to me, but maybe not everyone.
