Can My Siskui D5 Handle The Bike Park? - 2022 Polygon Siskiu D5 Budget Dual Suspension Mountain Bike

Went to highland bike park in new hampshire today with my buddy, feels like I am alot of progress in those 6 hours of downhill riding. I will say my bike feels very heavy for this type of riding, and I definitely need to replace the front forks with air shocks but honestly the bike handled everything I threw at it. I wasn't soaring through the air or anything but I handled some jumps and drops just fine and everything else the bike is perfectly suited for.
The 67 Degree combined with some upgraded tires makes the siskiu d5 feel pretty confident to ride downhill, even at the bike park as a beginner! I do feel like I will grow out this bike eventually and when I took my buddies high end rental for a spin I could immediately feel the difference so its not replacement for a high end MTB. But many of you are probably like me and wanted to spend around 1k for a MTB to introduce themselves to the sport, and this bike fills that spot perfectly.

Hell yeah Nice to see you mtb as well. hey Budget But iv Heard good things about that bike. when my Gf started riding with me she was on a Cheap Mongoose that was few sizes to big lol no bike park on that though. then I got her a 26" 4cross bike built for AM she Loved it still has it but it is converted into a mid drive ebike lol now she is on a Raggley mmmbop for mtb. we are both on aggressive Hardtails I'm on a Chromag stylus.. been Years sense iv owned a fullsus was thinking about it but we got the Talraia sting instead similar price to some High end mtb's lol. Opened up new ways to ride I Love it but for my nothing can replace the Nimbleness of MTB.. :)

Yeah I actually have a whole second channel dedicated to mountain bike stuff haha I just started this yes but I absolutely love it. You hardtails guys/girls are beastssss I need that squishy suspension to help escort me through the roots lmaaao I'm honestly considering getting a dirt jumper or BMX bike to work on my skills during the winter at skateparks

it's just been super cold and raining alot lately so I haven't felt like taking the bike out, this is my first winter with a motorcycle so I kinda underestimated how much I would absolutely hate riding in the cold lol the videos will come back eventually though! I've been posting a bit on my second channel as well. It's also super dangerous to ride in the winter around here because there's not many other motorcycles outside so people aren't used to seeing them as often, and where I live has the highest fatality rate for motorcyclists lol just trying to make some calculated decisions, I've been doing youtube/twitch for over 10 years now and I have burnt myself out a bunch of times while chasing the dream. It's tough to make 4-5 videos a week while making less than 100 a month. Even my yammie video that got 150k views only made like 300 bucks lol I'm probably never going to give up on youtube but I've pretty much given up on the idea that I can make a living doing this, unless something seriously changes. I just don't have the money or access that I need to create the content I want. If I lived in florida and had a motorcycle dealership letting me test ride bikes all the time and compare them that would be ideal, or if I could get a track bike and start hitting track days and work on my progression, or maybe even start motorcycle camping or doing long moto road trips to travel the country. Moto youtubing is just sooo insanely expensive to do

highland bike park in new hampshire, sooo much fun I can't wait to go back when they open next season and I absolutely love this bike, its my first mountain bike ever so I can't really compare it to much but its pretty damn good. If I had to do it over again I would FOR SURE just buy the more expensive D7 or T7 that comes with better components across the board. I almost bought a D7 instead of the D5 but I didn't actually know if I was going to love mountain biking.. turns out I do! So if you really think you'll love it, or already know you do, then get the most expensive model you can afford since no matter what it's cheaper than upgrading a lower model to match it
