In the year of our lord 2019, USA produced a little 100 million tons of food waste. Has it ever crossed your mind that the crisis is not caused by a lack of production?

Yes, and we have plenty of food right now to feed every starving person on the planet - the problem is infrastructure: there is no way to distribute that food to every person
@Trokkin
@Trokkin 8 ай бұрын
 @gregbors8364 the real problem is the distribution principle itself. We do that with money. Got none -- no food for you, sorry bruv. If noone's paying for that food -- well better destroy the surplus before it affects the price. Cause production is done for profit. Guess who's that profit? Definitely not the ones who starve.

@@Trokkin Having worked in grocery, I know for a fact that a lot of perfectly good food ends up going to the landfill because it’s illegal to sell it past the sell-by date. And who hasn’t thrown out leftovers or dated food from their fridge?

@Trokkin You nailed it. Almost all famines dating back hundreds of years aren't for lack of food. They're a result of conflict - often based in religion - and greed. We have *more* than enough food for everyone. But we do not have the capacity to put aside geopolitical and religious differences.

Excellent work, but there's already more than enough food for everyone. The problem of hunger is not a production problem, but rather a distribution problem.

Beat me to it. Amen. I grew up in the Salinas Valley of California. My father used to say 30 years ago it could feed the world. I didn’t believe him till I heard the numbers. Not true anymore but there’s more food than most people can imagine. Most just gets thrown away.

No, but food can. If the government and the United Nations would quit sabotaging our food supply, we'd have enough for everyone.

That's honestly a really exciting idea in itself, really informative and fun to know, also can we use these kinds of nano particles in the Arctic to reduce the rate of their heat absorption and reflect more sunlight?

After watching this video, I learned that nanotechnology and hunger problems are related, and in particular, the most memorable thing was that nanoparticles can reduce food waste by promoting plant growth and health and improving food preservation and safety. In addition, I wanted to explore the possibility of future nanotechnology development. It was a really amazing and interesting video.

Although...NPK fertilizer and nitrogen conversion DID basically make bread from thin air. Smog in U.S was largely eliminated by clean air tech. It’s true you have to implement it but tech CAN solve a lot of problems if properly applied. Energy outages have been prevented by massive energy increases and energy use has also been slashed by work from home tech.

Fighting Hunger? What is with this idiotic thinking? Hunger is welcomed, it brings enjoyment and fulfillment after. You can feed humans and animals, not concepts like family. Some people keep Hunger and live with Hunger because when they eat they enjoy life to the fullest. You polute mentally with this idiotic way of thinking. And alot of ilogic.
