Hold on hold on from where did you get this information? According to IRCC Canada allows people to have multiple citizenships while keeping their Canadian citizenship. However, some countries do not allow this personally I have seen there are many people who obtain their NICOP and visited to Pakistan nothing happened 5:30 can you elaborate ?

This sentence is only for refugees, it is not for regular passport holders. If they apply the ID of their country of persecution, they may face legal consequences even after getting Canadian citizenship.

To be clear, Canada can NOT "take back" citizenship from a former refugee. This is not an opinion. This is Canadian law. In Canada, under current law, the only ground for revoking (or taking back) a grant of citizenship is misrepresentation. Period. While Geneva Convention rules might allow a country to have laws that will "take back" citizenship based on grounds similar to what constitutes grounds for termination of refugee or protected person status (UNHCR provisions), Canada's laws DO NOT allow Canadian citizenship to be terminated, withdrawn, revoked, or taken back on these grounds. Once a person who had refugee or protected person status under the UNHCR becomes a Canadian citizen, they are no longer a refugee or protected person.

You saod that we shouldn't apply for a NICOP after getting Canadian passport. I have been holding Canadian passport since 2007 and also holding a NICOP that helps me to visit Pakistan when I need to go there. I think there is no harm to retain NICOP .
