The local government is considering trucking in water tankers to supply the local population due to the low supply. People are asked to refrain from washing and flushing toilets for at least 2 weeks so water levels in the dam can reach more normal levels. Local authorities are investigating where the water has gone and how it was reduced so dramatically in such a short period of time. There has been reports that a local carwash was the direction the water was being pumped,but that is speculation at this time.

So, having dealt with a few limos in my life, I can tell you that half of the shoddy BS in the back was just terrible repairs from the previous company. They lead a similar life to rented supercars. They get thrashed until they can't even rent them out for proms and bar mitzvahs. Oh, and limo companies tend to hire random crackheads to maintain and repair limos. At least that's how it is where I'm from.

@@JunkyardDigs I have worked in the Limousine world for over 30 years and he wasn't lying! in one instance a sedan ended up in a cornfield on it's roof, another stretch had it's front brakes catch FIRE! (that was mentioned because that wheel on yours could do that) I've seen one that hit a bridge abutment (NOT Pretty) one that got stolen and was found stripped in an alley and enough damage, misuse and neglectful maintenance that would give you pause.

It always amazes me how these stretch limos still run on the factory engine, brakes, and suspension which weren't all that great to begin with. All that added weight with no added power, cooling, and perhaps most importantly braking.

I would think speed had alot to do with it most limos are in city’s and don’t go over 55 most of the time probably doing 35 or less ? Maybe or they were just on drugs and tried to make the most money possible with a POS. 😂

If you want it properly done you'd start with building the engine up a little for more power, then install a bigger 3 core radiator with twin thermostat electric cooling fans and a transmission cooler. Upgrade the shocks to something stronger, install some extra bracing under the extension to cut down the rattles. Strut tower braces front and rear too. Then I'd remove the wheels and brakes to upgrade to larger radius rotors, twin piston calipers up front, do a drum to disc conversion in back, and install larger tires. You need at least 17" wheels on this. Finally change the rear end gear to something that can keep up with traffic, probably a 3.27. I think these came with 2.73 from the factory right? After all that I'd install oil pres, oil temp, water temp, and trans temp gauges.

2 years old, sure. But, rewatching this...And you know what would be an awesome thing to do with this Limo, if y'all still own it? Carefully chop the top of the limo portion (ignore the cab area) And lift it a bit, putting new sides in. Possibly even lifting it to overhang the cab (think motorhome style) and turn it into a luxery limo/camper. You already have the bed in the back, the overhang on the "cab" would be able to have one small bed, potentially, and have a third bed in the center. Put in a small kitchenette, and you'd be golden. That would probably require reinforcing the axles, and swapping to a heavier duty engine, and better shocks. But, you could be the first to have a 35 foot Lincoln Camper Limo, potentially!

It's crazy, since the limo is a crazy quilt Frankenstein (IT'S ALIVE!)... but why not gut the interior (and finally get rid of that mouse smell) and rebuild it as an RV low-rider? Conversion bed in the back, fridge, entertainment center, fold-out futon benches, maybe even an airline-style lavatory! And maybe reconfigure the trunk so you can slide stuff through the bed/back bench, like in modern sedans? Even crazier... make it hybrid. add electric to the back, for better torque. (Does torque also help pull the weight of the vehicle, as well as towing?) Meanwhile, once it's roadworthy, it would be an awesome way to head back to school! Oh, and you should do a roadtrip series with the limo. Hit all the amazing and strange sites in Iowa...the Grotto of the Redemption, Blackhawk Lake Summer Carnival, the State Fair, maybe be a support van for a RAGBRAI team...
