I am diving back into the gritty world of Red Dead Redemption 2, determined to make amends with the game that once left me frustrated. This time, I am setting a unique challenge for myself: I will play through the entire game without uttering a single complaint, no matter what twists and turns the game throws at me. If I slip up, it will cost me $25 each time-a potentially expensive lesson in patience and perseverance.

As a member of the Red Dead community we still love you even tho you hate this masterpiece. 😂 And i think that's been the beauty of it over the years coz even people who vibe more with GTA and dont like the slower laid back western style of Red Dead can give the game its flowers coz they were basically over the years able to take the principles that made GTA so successful and place them into a much better storytelling experience even if the gameplay isn't as beloved or chaotic as GTA

Clipping is one of the most impossible things to solve in videogames. I wish gamers would stop talking about it at all. GTA VI will have it. Half Life 3 will have it. TES 6 will have it. Any game will have it for a long time.

Am I the only one that's not vibing with the way some of the dialogue is being cut here? I can understand cutting the less important parts to smooth out the pacing like the shootouts, hunting game, Javier and Arthur running away from the wolves, Dutch and Arthur slowly walking down to Colm's hideout, etc, etc... But other stuff like shortening Dutch's speech at the beginning, Sadie's last bits of dialogue after rescuing her, Javier talking about the heist in Blackwater, Dutch's backstory with Colm, the ride back to camp after kidnapping Kieran (the dialogue there is funny), those parts I feel like there could've been a different way of fastening the pace without either shortening them or out right cutting them out of the video, this game is heavy on story and half the fun is hearing characters talk... I know that, at the end of the day, these are minor nitpicks and nobody other than me cares about them, but like Matt says at the beginning, "My main goal is to accept the game for what it is and play it as intended, rather than wishing it was something else." and I feel like the editing should reflect that mentality as well, specially considering that Matt actually pays attention to the story and gives his opinions about it later on in this playthrough, removing some of the dialogue would also be removing some of the context behind Matt's opinions, a slightly more relaxed editing style would suit this playthrough better, imo.
