Well I’ve passed the ASVAB after taking it for the third time, but my GT score was two points off. So my recruiter got me a waiver to work in a warehouse since my CL score was high enough for warehouse clerk. I don’t have no problem waiting it’s just my dad wants me out if the house, and this is putting so much stress on me.

I wanted to go air force but 2 years ago i was prescribed with anxiety meds & I have to wait 36 months after the date of prescribed. So I have to wait 1 year. Meanwhile the army is more lenient and I'm current considering joining the army instead.

My moral waiver is currently at 140 days. I've read anything and everything I can about the official process but obviously that doesn't tell you much about how it actually works behind the scenes.

Im currently in the moral waiver process with the army. Ive been approved for a moral recommendation by the Commissioned officer to give to Battalion officer. I’m currently waiting on the Battalion officer for an interview. I don’t know how long it will take. I hope it doesn’t take as long. But I’m planning on going to basic training in July. Just waiting for the USAREC.

@@TEAMSWARTZ I just now realize that the military isn’t worth it anymore. I tried everything. But it’s now overdue. I regret waisting my time and my energy into something that takes forever. I’m this close into saying forget the military. I’ve been patient long enough I’ve been optimistic long enough. I’m not waiting any longer. And the military wonder why their recruitment numbers haven’t been reached because of moral waivers and other crappy justifications. I’ve blocked my recruiters because I don’t want my time waisted over this anymore. This is really draining, but obviously the military doesn’t care how draining it is. So Thankyou for the video. But I’m saying that I give up on the military. Because obviously the military hasn’t and never did anything for me.

@@kristianroberts5235 I hear you. Consider this… you made a decision in the past that carries consequences. You made a choice that impacts your life… good, bad or indifferent. Maybe your recruiter didn’t inform you of the possible timelines but you’re faulting the US Military for having strict guidelines that potential applicants and recruiters alike get frustrated over. The delays you’re experienced is due to your actions. You created this delay due to your past. You’re not qualified to join and the US Military doesn’t owe you anything. Your Recruiter is in the process of obtaining permission (moral waiver) to allow you the opportunity to serve. I think you are not putting things into perspective. I do agree things can take a long time to complete and it surely is frustrating all around but it is what it is. I hope you reconsider but that’s another choice you’ll have to make. You’ll look back on life and say one of two things. I’m glad I did or I wish I had. Which one will be you! Good luck and best wishes in everything that you do!

I was supposed to have my paperwork done for enlistment last week before my 43 birthday ( which is on January 3) so that I could head out to MEPS. However, my paperwork was delayed because of the Christmas/ New Year's Day holidays. It's looking like I won't meet my deadline. I was wondering if there are any options for me. The age waiver for that is up to your OSM’s ability to successfully obtain the necessary Age ETP for your enlistment option. I don’t know much about AMEDD recruiting requirements unfortunately. I have been waiting a year now for a small medical wavier to be approved. I have submitted all documents as well as going to the eye doctor everything checked out good BUT I haven't heard anything back yet on top of that my recruiter was moved to another state so he can't help me, the other recruiters in that building can't find my paperwork and can't get a answer on my wavier. You’ll go through the normal moral waiver process. If it’s waiverable, you’ll be good to go. Obtain your arrest report and court minutes and dispositions if needed. Contact your local recruiter with what you were charged with and the final disposition. Based on that info they’ll let you know if the disposition would be suffice or if the arrest report and court minutes would be needed. Hello, I'm hoping somebody can give me some answers. Im 23 years old, & spoke with an Air Force recruiter recently. Didn't sign anything just filled a quick questionnaire about myself & had a conversation. I wrote down & mentioned to the recruiter that 3 years ago i had a Class C misdemeanor, assault on family member, (sibling to be specific) charges weren't pressed, but I was fingerprinted, booked overnight. A couple months later in front of a judge, pleaded guilty. It was dismissed with the conditions being a fine & online anger management course. The recruiter told me I would need a waiver that he would only do if I scored well on the ASVAB, & if it's approved I would have to go in as "Open mech". Is he telling the truth that my jobs would be limited to maintenance? And most importantly, am I dead in the water? I've been trying to research morality waivers and it's very confusing, is my charge a felony in the eyes of the Air Force? Will the Air Force see "assault" and not even give me a chance? Would I not be able to enlist in any combat roles? I know waivers are all different but if anybody can give me some advice or answers, i would greatly appreciate it.

I don’t know if the AirForce has combat roles to be honest. And AirForce have their own regulations, policies and expectations to moral waivers. In general moral waivers preclude you from any MOS/opportunities requiring a Secret Clearance or higher. Which may be why they are restricting you to mechanic positions. Assault on Sibling is waiverable in majority of cases and ASVAB Score is a factor in eligibility on occasions. If you want a combat job that allows that type of charge, go Army. Yes but obtain an updated evaluation/testing and get an all clear memo from that PCP or preferably a specialist. Additionally obtain a letter from your PCP verifying no additional issues around that tumor incident since in your records. So at 17 I enlisted got a apft failure on run. RE code 3 honorable discharge. I know I need a physical fitness waiver which too my understanding just requires a a past ACFT now before being allowed in, and then will need a letter clearing me with mental health suitsble for the armed forces from my former therapist(saw few years back) which again is no problem any idea on how long those would take to be cleared? I also have a asavb score of 77 and all my. Line scores are 110+

In February I started the process of enlisting in the Army I took the ASVAB and scored a 44 did my physical which require a waiver for an umbilical hernia that was approved then I had 2 law issues for harassment and simple assault that were dismissed I didn't have to pay any fine or anything whatsoever, the recruiter that was working with told me I need to get a moral waiver but he didn't want to do the paperwork that was required, I switched to a different recruiter and he did all my paperwork and submitted it last week before the holiday how long will it take to get approved? I'm 32 and employed by the state of New Jersey Department of correction I'm well motivated to join the army that is the reason why I'm still on the hunt and waiting patiently

Tried joining from 2010-2013 right out of high school. Have a hearing loss in both ears. Currently wearing hearing aids now. I can hear without them but having them makes life much easier. I tried joining every branch but only wanted combats related job and never even got sent to MEPS. Thinking about trying again now but keeping an open mind about jobs and joining the reserves. Is there any specific branch that’s easier to get waivers? Was originally thinking Air Force but I’ve heard the waiver wait time can take a couple years now

I am waiting for MEPS to tell my recruiter what waiver type is needed. At medical I was told that I was prescribed an anti-depressant and asthma medication back in 2020, when I went to look at my prescription history I saw that the last time I picked up antidepressant was on 10/15/2022. Will MEPS tell my recruiter they need a certain type of waiver and that’s it? Or will other things be needed? I am going to get a pulmonary function test done and chest x-ray just in case that is needed when they reach back on the 7th day (MEPS said I’m on a 7 day hold) What are my chances of getting this approved? Question moral waiver was approve as of three weeks ago I was told background expired had to resubmit also was told my waiver needed to be approved by the battalion commander boss does that sound about right

i passed the asvab with a 55 AFQT passed both the medical and physical, however the livescan revealed a few things on my record, i gave my applicant statement, and now my recruiter wants 3 LOR’s which are currently being taken care of. i’ve been so eager lately, hopefully the battalion accepts it. (11X) with an airborne contract from meps in the event that the army doesn’t accept me, can i go right next door to a marine recruiter with my asvab scores and try with them?

Yo I got a physical at MEPS and I need waivers for my eczema and eyesight. Any idea on how long it takes for these waivers to get approved? And what’s the approval percentage for eczema waivers? My recruiting office is requesting a consult to get me cleared. Also, I’m applying to join the Army as an 09S.

Eye waivers are 99% approved if it’s astigmatism related and for eczema, these are tough to get approved. Closer to 50/50. Depends on if it’s diagnosed as mild with it being documented you rarely have a mild breakout and not on medication. That’s the most I see why don’t they do pft tests for asthmatics or have them workout with the future soldiers and monitor if they have exercise induced Asthma that way. I was denied by the Army for having 3 DUIs- the first one being over 5 years ago. The most recent was well over 2 years ago. (I have been sober since that last one) I talked to a Marines recruiter recently and they told me there is a very high chance for my waiver to get approved. Submitted everything I needed for it almost a month ago and still haven’t heard anything back. Any idea on how long it could take ? Was hesitant even talking to a marines recruiter because some places online say if you have 3 you are disqualified but what I read varies. Also considering my recruiter told me there is a high chance. Would love to hear some feedback on this from anyone!

Every branch is different, I would stick to what your recruiter said because he does this for a living your probably not the first.
