I really love the editing in this video and when the music reflects what rick is doing at 9:38 when he checks to see if the ball is short of the bunker and the music stops but comes back right on time. I like that attention to detail. Also, Rick, you are playing golf incredibly in this video. I love seeing you working hard and making achievements over the years. I don't even play golf that much anymore but this is why I have been watching so many golf youtubers over the years, and watching them get better over time and achieve their goals, and it's so inspiring, and you were the first golf youtuber I started watching.

Great round, Rick. Beautiful course. I love fairways that are like greens and greens that are even better. I used to belong to a Donald Ross designed golf club in Indianapolis, IN. The course was amazing. Ross was infamous for making tricky greens with either subtle undulations that were hard to read or extreme greens with killer steep levels that were dangerous to put on. They were tough courses. The fairways there were nicer than most greens and intimidating to hit off of because you didn’t want to hurt them. After my first round at that course (as a guest at the time) playing with about 25 others, everyone was talking about the quality but difficulty of the course. One of the guys asked my how I liked hitting off those amazing fairways. My answer was, “Well I only hit off the fairway once…..and that was AFTER a putt”. That course ate my lunch which is why I joined. I learned to play that thing over time and actually eventually won the club championship. It was a bear and I loved it. Since moving away to Texas and losing all of my golfing buddies I just quit playing for almost 20 years. Now I play again but very rarely. I would love to play more but need a few golfing buddies to play with. I suppose I need to join a group,of strangers and build that special group. I’m playing with the same clubs (Calloway) that I bought back in the mid 90’s. I’d like to take advantage of the new and improved technology but that is a lot of money to invest for as little as I play. That said, your recent review of the Callaway Paradigm drivers has my juices flowing. Thanks for all that you do for the game and love seeing you having fun again.

Very well played, my friend. I’m scratch, and I would have also been very pleased with that score on those fast, sloping greens. You had an outstanding ball striking day. You would have been in the red on easier greens. I sometimes resent the fact that putting is such a huge factor in scoring. I’ve always said that the hole should be a little bigger to give you more reward for hitting the ball good. A larger hole would make golf even more fun than it already is, in my opinion.
