@@johnweissenberger7719 We were founded in 1786 (7th oldest golf club in the world) and our Balcomie course was redesigned by Old Tom Morris in 1895 to bring it up to the requirements of that time - imagine hickory clubs and gutta percha balls. Its largely unchanged since then, but as my Atlanta friends like to say “its the longest 5900 yds you will ever play” especially when the wind blows (frequently).😂

This is one of , if not the best golf KZbin videos I've seen. I've only been playing golf just over a year, and now I know I would like to play golf like Iona Stephen. Sorry Rick !! That was a delightful almost clinical display. The positivity, the enthusiasm, just a lovely insight in to what golf can be like. And I've not even began to wax lyrical about Crail !! Absolutely fantastic video! Having been born and raised and never playing golf outside of Southern California, this great tour of the Crail course in Scotland, along with the loveleh lady Iona and your wonderful accents was a true treasure for me. Once having been a 2-handicap golfer obsessed with scoring at all costs, now at 77 I can deeply appreciate the fun and camaraderie and appreciation for the beauty of this magnificent scenery you and Iona shared. Thank you so much for posting this awesome round, and thanks for being so cool about your not-so-perfect shots. You are a great role model for us of advancing years. I have not played a round for 20 years due to a horrific motorcycle accident, but I'm slowly swinging the clubs again (just regripped my old Titlests) without too much pain, so hopefully I will be back on a par 3 course soon. Your play and deportment are indeed an inspiration to me. Thank you! P.S.- If you want to loan Iona to me for my first round back on the links it would certainly help distract me from my wayward shots. ;)

What amazes me about Rick is how he can play as well as he does while narrating videos. If he didn't have all the fuss of sound equipment, cameramen and entertaining the audience, he would shed strokes from his game, guaranteed.

I love that Iona says she hasn't kept a scorecard in years. I believe that's a big contributor to her attitude and playstyle. She's not thinking about making par or birdies every hole, she just goes out and enjoys the game, which leads to playing really bloody well!
