Can Root Canals Make you Sick? Cancer, Lupus, Hoshimotos, Thyroid dysfunction?
Root canal teeth may leak bacteria into jawbone and other parts of the body. The truth of the matter is that roots of teeth are relatively porous and bacteria do leak out of dead root canal teeth all the time. Roots of teeth cannot be completely cleaned and bacteria, fungus and their toxins persist and increase in numbers over time. When pathogens and toxins have a safe bed to multiply and concentrate over time, bad things can happen. Concentrated toxins and higher levels of pathogens can create and promote disease in a susceptible person. The bacteria and toxins leaking out of root canals is free to infect the jawbone and enter the blood supply. Most of the time the bacteria will be intercepted by the immune system and destroyed.
Root canal teeth have foreign material in the roots called gutta percha. Gutta percha is latex based and can contain metals, phenols and formocreasol. Needless to say, particles of these chemicals can leak out the roots and become immunological systemic irritants.
If an allergist or another doctor believes a root canal may be contributing to systemic illnesses such as Cancer, Lupus, Hoshimotos, Thyroid dysfunction.
Cleaners such as bleach are used to clean the roots of the teeth during root canal treatment. No question some of the bleach can leak out of the tooth and into your jawbone. When getting a root canal re-treatment a dangerous chemical called chloroform is placed into the tooth to dissolve old contaminated gutta percha.

Ive had many root canals, all failed. I didn't think I really needed any of them, but dentist put you on a treatment program and seldom ask your opinion. They all have hurt for several years until they come out. I've never had one wok at all. And I really question the bleach disinfectant process. Is that something you want to consume? Also Ive had those mercury releasing fillings done and many dentist still do them. For some reason I haven't slept more than a few hour a day for years now. I feel like something is wrong, despite never getting sick with so much as a flu in over twenty years, and having an incredible immune system. But I don't go to any conventional doctors, and have never been "Immunized" with mercury containing vaccinations like they do to babies now days. I eat organic food, I'm an athlete. I currently have no dentist because the last one gave me a partial root canal without even asking me. Then tried to make me sign a release to do a full root canal on the tooth with more bleach. Ive had over twelve different dentist. All but the one who worked out of the back of a school bus (He was amazing and great) have been barbaric beyond belief. Not by malevolence, but rather it seems they just follow industry medical standards to keep a customer coming back till they're dead. And they call it a "treatment program" I got money, I got insurance. I wish I could get help. It seems that almost any dentist I go to is first going to want to Xray the snot out of my head, then inject me with enough crap to put me in shock for a day, after they of course legally identify make a report on me for the government, as per the law. Then I'm supposed to go back about every other month for the rest of my life. First they do a bunch of fillings, then those fail, and you get root canals, then those fail, and you get extractions, and implants, then those fail, and you get dentures, and you then die. Thankfully dentist are seemingly the least barbaric among the medical industry. Oh and my teeth where perfect until they sealed them up with some kind of new at the time "experimental" sealer when I was a teenager. Then within a few years I had a mouth full of small cavities. But I can't prove any correlation between that and my teeth being perfect, till all of a sudden rotting from the inside out, and needing to go to a dentist regularly for the rest of my life.

I am searching for a biological dentist in md! I had what I believe is a failed root canal in my mouth. That was the start to all of my issues. I was diagnosed with MS shortly after that root canal. I think it is all linked. I have been on a natural path to healing for the past 5 years and I believe that this is my last step before I achieve my best self. Maybe I will schedule with you. Thank you for standing up for the TRUTH!!!!!!!! It’s so refreshing! I have been suffering with all over inflammation and autoimmune illnesses, no doubt in my mind brought on by the 3 root canals in my mouth! I have recently gone to a Biological Dentist who did a Conebeam CT and some bloodwork for inflammatory markers. Waiting to hear back next week for results. Either way, I’m getting this crap outta my mouth ASAP!! Also, after all the natural healing modalities I have tried haven’t helped, and then watching that documentary “Root Cause” leads me to believe nothing has worked because of the toxins that just continue to flow from that source. I am absolutely DISGUSTED by the fact that I pay big money out of pocket to a Naturopath and Functional medicine Dr and not ONCE has anyone ever asked me about my oral health or if I have root canals!! I swear it’s profits over people EVERYWHERE I turn! 🤬

I don't "Want" the root canals I have.. Thankfully they are front teeth so one canal... I'm just not ready to be a toothless wonder with my two front teeth. (Trauma to the teeth as a child led to root death).. It's vital that they are monitored for asymptomatic infection with a CT scan from time to time. But what is one to do? Implants cost thousands... Any real alternatives? I think not.

Hi Dr. Gary!!! Thanks so much for this video!!! This is exactly what I've been looking for on behalf of my father. After the root canal tooth is extracted, number 14, what do YOU recommend the patient do, in terms of detoxifying the whole body if the infections have traveled to the GI tract??? That is what has happened to my father. He is determined to extract that RC tooth. The RC was done 20 yrs ago, and the bacteria infection is leaking into her body, and it is specifically infecting her stomach. Tooth number14 is associated with the stomach, and he is having serious stomach pain. The root canal must be removed, but **WHAT should he do after the RC tooth us extracted in order to detoxify her stomach of the bacteria infection? At this point, he doesn't care of he doesn't have a tooth in that spot anymore!!! His goal is to clear the infections in his body. That is all!!! Can you please reply?? He is in California, so he can't travel to you. Thank you in advance for your helpful reply.

Thanks for the detailed response/questions. Most of our patients have other doctors who are supplementing them and often times doing the nutritional stuff as well. We offer our patients liposomal vitamin C, glutathione, vitamin D, and K. Roseann would be a really good idea in this situation. I would ask your doctor, but many of our patients are taking ozone capsules that are taken by mouth.

As I said above I was soso ill with root canal filling. Afterwards so weak . Frail and unfit. I was already thin but then lost a lot of weight. I recd excellent advice yesterday from a doctor. She said I need to take a protein powder everyday for 6 weeks cos hv lost muscle. Eat more protein. EAT healthy fats nuts avocados sets plus green leafy veges etc I used to be reasonably fit and was shocked at home much fitness I had lost. I could hardly walk at all so I was planning to really get into exercise but this woman and my own doctor both said getting fit is not the top priority. I am not that keen on taking the protein powder as it contains bad oils like soy oil but will take it as it has lots if vitamins and minerals.

I saw a doctor in emergency yesterday. Have had pain for a week that I thought was brought on by a horrible outbreak of cold sores on the right side of my face. Doctor told me I had trigeminal neuralgia and prescribed me gabapentin. I called my dentist today and got in to be checked out. New xrays taken. Turns out I had a severely infected tooth, one that I had a root canal done on in 1995. He ended up pulling it so I hope that’s the end of my pain. Anyway it has me interested in whether or not I should have the other tooth with a root canal extracted. If I was so severely infected as the dentist told me I was, why wouldn’t he prescribed an antibiotic afterwards. And is it common to tank the tooth out without treating the infection first. I hope I did the right thing. I wanted the pain to be gone so bad

Doctor, with all due respect are you suggesting a gutta percha allergy is a viable reason why an RCT should not be performed for the vast majority of the population? Would be interested to hear how common you think this allergy is. Looking forward to your response.
@SereneOrthodontics
@SereneOrthodontics Жыл бұрын
We don’t test everyone, because it is an expensive test. The gutta Percha usually is not always the problem. The problem usually is the sealer. Every time I have run material testing, every test has come back positive for antibodies against most of the common sealers on the market.

Root can infections can be especially damaging because of the high concentrations of toxins and pathogens in root canal teeth. This fact is because there is no blood supply going to root canal teeth, so the infection persists unopposed by white blood cells and the immune system in general.

Root canals are a touchy subject. I don't like them yet I have 4 . Placed this past summer. Now I do believe they could contribute to your health issues in some cases...... But one has to remember that we are surrounded by many otherr things destroying our health and weakening the immune system. From EMF exposure and constantly holding a cell phone in our hand/pocket , wifi everywhere and cell towers/5G to glyphosate / atrazine on food, flouride/heavy metals in water, poor air quality stress, lack of excercise and poor sleep. If you have root canals , pay attention to the things I just mentioned and see if your symptoms improve.

I am 38 year old male I eat well train every day but that has fallen by the waist side recently . Shortly after the root canal I noticed numbness in my temples especially left side . Then a small gland just under left side of my mouth started to swell everytime I eat . From. That i then got severe health anxiety /racing heart numbness left side of face and left hand . I have a nagging feeling it’s connected to root canal as it all seemed to happen after that . I had no previous issues before that . I had an ecg and bloods my heart is fine . But I’m now in an awkward place as I know an X-ray on root canal will not confirm an infection problem . Do you think it could be pressing on a nerve causing the numbness ? It’s intermittent some days it’s fine but I am becoming more anxious as time goes on and afraid I will spiral . I just want my life back . Thanks in advance. Trevor
