I have a Yorkie/shih-tzu mix and she met a Rottweiler when she was about 6/7 months old. She was less than ten pounds at the time, and the Rottie was easily over 100. I babysat the big boy for a week, and they were INSEPERABLE. The Rottie was so gentle with her and she spent the whole week in his mouth (playfully). I'm not even sure if he had met a small dog before, but he inherently knew to be gentle. Now my little girl goes crazy with excitement whenever she sees another Rottie. She misses her big boyfriend lmao

Crikey, I was on the edge on my seat during all the interactions LOL. All the dogs were so good but Kenai was just such a trooper as I know from my own personal experience that sometimes the older male dogs can get very territorial and you never quite know how they are going to react. You and Jess were both really relaxed and that set the scene for the dogs really well, Brave wee yorkie!

My dad bought a morkie Maltese/Yorkie. I bought a knpv lined Dutch shepherd. A dog from hard line's. They are the exact same age. They are inseparable two and a half years later. She thinks she's a Dutch shepherd too. It's hilarious. He loves his little sister more than anything in the world. He's fully bite trained. He's just a gentle giant with her. They snuggle on the couch every day.

It's funny to watch Grace run under Jaz and Jaz bow down so Grace can lick her ears. I love how well your dogs are trained and socialized. Don't underestimate the language not heard between these dogs. The small breeds know how to handle the larger breeds more than most owners. These Rottweilers were well trained and had the utmost respect for their owner too. My Yorkie is the boss of the German Shepherd in this house. Not that the German Shepherd couldn't do her in... it's the body language between them. The bigger dog things she's small and the smaller dog thinks she's big 😂

Hi Collin, we have had Rotties for over 19 years, never had a problem. We also have a Jack Russel terrier, he used to stand under the girls and he'd be barking and they'd be leaning over the gate to kiss who ever was there. Our neighbours children were introduced as days old babies and we never had a problem. our Jack is ball obsessed and the children knew not to touch them but our girls( Tara and then Shaz) were never toy or food obsessed. As you say in your videos it is all about training and love.
