I'd suggest listening to the wonder experience or the show he did in Austin about a month ago if you want to hear what he sounds like nowadays. Most of these clips are from 2016-2018, his live vocal has improved a lot.

There is so much newer live stuff where his live vocals have improved a lot. 1:56. Yeah he posted these on ig. 4:36 Yeah that rasp is actually not healthy. He talked about in an interview that the rasp during this period was because of some throat infection that caused his voice to break. He had a surgery for that. These clips are from 2017-2019. And during his 2019 tour he suffered from a vocal injury due to which he had to cancel a show too. But now his voice is so much more healthier. I suggest you react to his recent SXSW show in Austin, Wonder:The experience or BBC Live Lounge 'Can't take my eyess of you'.

ur the first person I've ever seen saying he whispers bc he always sings with an E voice and grouping him with Selena who literally can't sing to save her life is insane, i think u just got a really old video and should react to his 2019/2022 vocals bc he improved a lot the rasp, even when he was damaging his voice u could tell he was singing with all he had, he never whispers like NHslwhsks

Yeah i dont know who made this compilation but they clearly dont like shawn mendes because those are like terrible videos aside from like the first one. If i would suggest a video that is a good kind of way to gauge his live vocals you can look at his live vocal growth. Just search shawn mendes live vocal growth it should give you the correct video. The thing is like was said before he had voice problems during his tour and several of these clips was from that period. He lost his voice and it was actually really bad he needed surgery and vocal rest. Like he had to cancel shows and cried about it. He overextended himself essentially. Wonder the experience live is on his youtube channel which has some of his latest vocals and in the second half of the songs dream and song for no one he likes to flex his vocals so those would be my recommendations. Also he sings on his tik tok page there arent a lot of videos there so if you look from his earlier tik toks you should be able to see a few ones. Oh before i forget if you search global citizen together at home concert shawn mendes and camila cabello you can see their little show they did for instagram. I like that one specifically because he doesnt have a mic so you can tell that it is how he really sounds without like mic effects, reverb or autotune . The only thing is that performance is not just him so you can decide whether you want to check it out but its good i like that performance.
