Sim drifting definitely helps at least in the slightest. I had never been on a track before, did the same what you've done, learnt a track in Assetto on sim before going to the track for real, only spun once on the first lap then was good as gold.

you're still having trouble with the initial turn in. Turn in, turn away, THEN turn in again to overload the rear. You're simply smashing the steering wheel in one go, and then you lose front traction.

duude awesome. I designed my own metal rig and am gonna order all the parts when i come back from holiday. Those handbrakes are terrible, I would suggest getting either the sparco thrustmast er one that also turns into a sequential or getting the fanatec or moza handbrakes

Definitely helps you figure out the line and transition sopts but one thing it dosent set you up for is g force and reality of how fast your going

I ended up really liking this video. The intro on the sim was a bit slow but once it got going it was interesting. Can you adjust the surface stickiness so it acts like the track when wet? Watching the videos it seemed like the rain was going to determine who was going to come out on top more than the car did, Grants Z almost turned out to be the perfect car for the conditions. I think for it to be effective you really need to have the cars inputs to be dialed more than the track layout.

I think if you were able to have the sim setup for right hand drive and have the same gear ratio so you shift at the same time then i think it would be helpful for muscle memory.

That sim will be clutch when you’re driving your own vehicles. You can try to set it up to the exact same setup & feel as your car does. It’s hard to drive a sim that’s not setup specific to the car you will be driving. Keep it up!

I was hoping you'd get in the comp. That rumble strip is what spun you, everyone that hit it spun. I guess you guys were going backwards on that track, which made you hit the hard edged side of the strip. Next time switch your shifter and handbrake on the sim......teach yourself to drive lefthand drive while learning the track.
