I am actually very proud of my self for recognising Hamza’s problematic and evasive ways when it came to his mom’s abuse way back in the episodes where Hala tells him about the pulao and mujhe jala dein gi incident. And Hamza played it off like it was nothing or a joke both times. I was shocked that no none, not even drama critics took it up. Everyone was hailing him as the best husband on TV. Even now on episode day no matter how big of a screw up Hamza does, an article appears in every magazine hailing him as the best thing ever. I understand some of it might be PR, but still it gives young girls the wrong ideas. Our portals also need to be a bit more responsible. I am so so disappointed with both Fraud and Pehchan. How they started and where they stand. They were such promising shows.

Exactly he never acknowledge her trauma, never believed her completely, he even said " meri maa ke baare me mujhe kuch mat kehna " He keeps saying mene stand liya me tumhare sath rha but never really did something to solve her problem or make her life easier. I am really proud that I didn't watch a single complete episode, but unfortunately I am addicted to these reviews and my mom watches the show so.. 😂

I agree on Hamza - the character has been not written well ! He was awesome initially but later they completely lost his arc. I also cannot understand why Halas dad has to provide for her security - she is married to Hamza n it’s his responsibility to make sure his wife n child are financially secure !

Mere hamsafar: Why is nobody talking about the fact that Hamza didn't even bother to ask his mom after returning home that why had you gone to Hala and what did you say to her ? He could go to Khurram to make a deal but couldn't ask a word to his mother . I mean Boy, just clarify everything from your mother regarding Hala's allegations.

I really would appreciate if the Haute platform can address to this scenario shown in the dramas that when ever the character is reaching Allah or better I say having a divine intervention they go to MAZAARS. For a Non Muslim watching our dramas they would take MAzaar as the ultimate holy place instead of MASjid Plz pass on this concern to the writers. YOur Platform is a very strong one . Turn people towards masjid for ibadat or Dua rather than Mazaars.

Yes..this is exactly the thing to be noticed. I have written it so mamy times.thats why i loved aye mushte khaak. Bcz mustajab was shown just like any athiest would do. His first meeting with imam and all. Like a proper start for a new muslim. I have heard same stories from different non believers that turned to Allah. Even joram van and arnord vandourn forgot the spells. They went to a masjid for some other purpose but meeting with imam surprised them. They were just thinking about it....for sometime it was normal, then they pondered upon different issues..and thats how their journey started..for many people, it is the same. So better show imam, or spiritually intelligent person to show proper guidance to Islam, masjid and namaz.

Highlight of the last episode of Pechaan was Syed Jibran’s acting. His dialogues as Adnan seemed to be coming straight from his heart. Very natural and touching. He said all the right things too. Hiba, however, I felt, lacked in performance in the last emotional, husband wife scenes. Anyway, a good, rational ending, happy for the sister leaving her husband.

Mere Humsafar really went from bad to worse. People are loving Hamza as if he’s an angel and I find this extremely confusing. Sure he knows how to talk nicely and he did that for a few episodes. But the way he chooses to be oblivious about the treatment of his mom towards his wife is extremely stupid. It really makes everything fall apart about the story. He knows how aggressive and Chalak his mom is and he’s even talked back to her about this before. But for some reason when he’s talking to Hala he purposely forgets everything and it just makes no sense. In one scene he shakes his mom vigorously for saying bad things about his wife and then he literally does not believe anything his wife says. He says to her that she should speak and clear her name and then he says stop because they want to stretch out these last episodes as much as possible. The level of stupidity displayed by both Hamza and Hala is alarmingly hilarious and the credit goes to the writer for coming up with this psychotic family and the director for creating an unlimited number of loopholes that leave your head spinning

Last episode of Mere Humsafar was pathetic. They killed the whole charm of that show with the cringiest conversation between Hamza and Khurram. Producers and channel should be shameful that they took the audiences for granted. The only thing which made this drama hit was everyone’s performance specially Farhan and Hania. These two acted so organically that people got attached with the characters and they started living with them. I mean just look at the Farhan’ performance even in the stupid last episode, one can see that pain in his eyes. His voice modulation is flawless!! What a brilliant performers these two are!! It’s high time that makers should understand that you can make the audiences fool up to a limit. If you are turning these beautiful characters into shit to make just 6-7 more episodes. People will watch this till the end because they got attached to the characters but then they will think twice or thrice to watch your next project, doesn’t matter how much money and effort you put into it. Bollywood is one big example for taking audiences for granted. They have crossed the limits and now facing the repercussions. A big shout-out to Farhan Saeed and Hania Amir for making this content less drama this hit.🇮🇳 Love from The Netherlands 🇳🇱

I do have one criticism in the review where Amna says that the personality of Irha is not such that someone like a rich industrialist will fantasize about her. So this happened when I was working and I noticed that there was only one guy who was literally the hottest on campus plus a topper plus from the most top tier family u can imagine plus he had literally the most attractive personality i have noticed in a guy. I felt like I could have married him in a second as I too had similar traits and background. But i soon found out he was already married and I saw his wife. She was literally someone who makes Irha look like Marilyn Monroe. That plain. That bland. And it was a love marriage. My point is that it's just wrong to say that this "type" of person "wouldn't " be attracted to another certain "type". Each being whether fictional or real is unique and they have their own tastes and sometimes we r left scratching our heads but that's how it is..just commented on it coz I have heard Amna say this in multiple instances. Literally anyone can b attracted or can fantasize abt anyone. Even ppl who we fail to see anything in personality wise can be the most special person to someone.

Thankyou Amna for bringing this up! Today the team from my organisation returned from the camp they'd set up for flood relief in a remote area of the Punjab. I spoke to one of the young volunteers and what he said was shocking. The poor lost the least because of the floods because they didn't have much to lose anyway. It was the middle class which suffered the most as many had taken loans to plant crops and build houses. They did not have the capacity to buffer these losses. The poor never wore shoes because they could not afford them, never did, and it had nothing to do with the floods. The poor kids were covered with boils. But they always were. It was endemic. The poor never had enough to eat. In places where flood relief is reaching they are eating better and getting treatment for their skin lesions. What have our governments been doing for seventy five years?

Hello from India! Here are my thoughts - Mere humsafar - Hala got triggered the moment she heard about losing her baby and her reaction was just a reflection of her PTSD. I can understand Hala's reaction as she suffers from PTSD, low self esteem etc because of her constant abuse. But its Hamza's flip flop emotional behavior and stupidity that is driving me crazy. Why doesnt he go to his mom to check out what she said to Hala?? He is clearly not a man to dream about but anyways all this is just to stretch the drama for views. Ppl r invested in the chatacters because of the prrfofmances of the actors and that's the actual reason. Otherwise Hamza's character arc is not so believable.

@@fayzahabeeb4093 agreeable to some extent. But, it wouldn't be a drama if there's no added masala. Imagine him going to his mom, obviously she will refuse. Same thing happened when Shahjahan gave abortion ills to Hala, he just couldn't trust that his mom could do something like that. He is an obedient son and has immense respect for his mother regardless of her negative attitude. Also, obviously at the end of the day, they do want to add some masala to the drama and hence, the stretch I guess

Just because a show is showing abuse towards kids, it doesn’t become bad, if the story is bad then I would’ve agreed with u, but till ep.4 i think the story has been good. Our dramas shouldn’t be kid friendly, nor should they be toned down due to kids watching them

Amina I think you have not been current of the contents of the pulp digests such as "khawateen digest", "shu'aa" etc. This genre of using religious sentiments with a mix of everyday/romantic theme was popularized by certain writers - the pioneer of this genre is Umaira Ahmad - who delivered a hugely successful episodic novel, after which there was a plethora of writers who took to this theme and wrote widely popular novels. Now, a large number of these writers are writing for TV. Also, the same demographic who read those novels has now matured into house-makers, this is a large section of your society and same people who are now the audience for these dramas.. So, to understand the rise of religious centered themes. You need to go back and study their rise in the early-2000 pulp fiction. and yes writers do have a very significant role to play here.

Dear Hassan.. I feel while discussing about Hala and Hamza in #merehumsafar , we are missing a very crucial point i.e. the van driver incident was left unfinished since Hamza ended up marrying Hala the very next morning. Coincidently Khurram actually saved Sameen from the very same driver, and hence entered Sameen's life and Rifat Manzil. When asked, Hala and Khurram both denied though for their own reasons but this again was a coincidence. To add on to that Hamza caught them red handed (in his opinion) at Khurram's house. Hamza is willing to believe Hala, if he wasn't.. he wouldn't have reprimanded his holier-than-thou mother for badmouthing about Hala.. But the series of unfortunate events, immediately after that confrontation, like witnessing Hala's uneasy distant behavior with him a while ago and then suddenly a put together Hala smiling & chatting with Khurram. Then in the next few hours being called by an enraged Nafees on urgent basis, Hala putting allegations on him & his mother and then straight away refusing to go back with him for the second time, made Hamza getting extremely hurt & feeling even more betrayed. We need to keep in mind that technically Hala and Khurram haven't been able to prove their version of truth with evidences yet.Another thing we need to remember is, we're having a satellite view or a third person perspective on the story and characters cuz we've seen everything that happened to both of them, but they're living breathing people in that story who don't know what is happening with the other person in their absence. Hamza didn't know what Sameen asked Khurram to do. Similarly, Hala didn't know that Hamza fought with his mother for her dignity. Those who say Hamza has been whitewashed and portrayed as an ideal man/husband.. No man can prove to be an ideal husband or wife to say the least. All men and women come with their own set of goods & bads and shortcomings. For Hamza not listening against his mother, we need to understand that from his perspective.. That his mother is the one who has made him something. He has seen his father's careless attitude towards his education and future throughout his childhood. He has seen his mother cutting short on her needs to fulfill his necessities. What Hala knows of Shahjahaan and what Shahjahaan is for Hamza as mother are poles apart. And it's not that he doesn't understand that his mother isn't fair with Hala. Time and again, he has disobeyed his mom, defended Hala, gave apt replies to her.. If not then he wouldn't have married Hala in the very first place or would have divorced her later but for any son it's really difficult to envisage his mother committing inhumane crimes with a girl, who is his wife. Hamza loves & respects both and himself is in tough place mentally and emotionally. I feel the bigger issue is we want perfect people to be shown on television or movies, but a perfect human being just couldn't exist. Both Hala and Hamza are imperfect humans like we all are. Now coming to Hala.. Hala is in a severe mental emotional turmoil. She's trying to deal with her insecurities every moment and remind herself of Hamza's love, care & trust, like defining Hamza with such beautiful words like jaan luta dene wala and telling Marriam that Hamza trusts her, he won't let her go etc etc.. But the moment Tai jaan scares her about losing her baby, all her traumas get triggered knowing the fact that Shahjahaan is a crooked go getter & more to that she hates Hala to another extreme and if she has decided to take away Hala's child, she will do it either by hook or by crook. She'll do that especially to give Hala the biggest defeat and stabbing her to death without even raising a finger at her and Hala can't afford to bear this loss. This baby is obviously 'everything' to her now. For Hamza, Hala knows how much of a faithful and devoted son Hamza is, and how much of a manipulative mother Shahjahaan could be.. She fears Hamza will do as his mother would instruct him to. About the allegations she has put on Hamza.. He was her last resort, and she knows that Hamza & his mother knows this really well, which is potentially a weak point for her and can easily be used against her. Also because initially Hamza didn't trust her at all and was cold towards her, but since she collapsed and the baby's life got risked, Hamza's behavior suddenly changed for her. This made her feel betrayed & disappointed by Hamza as well. During the expose & family confrontation scene, post Dadi's demise, Hamza himself said he can't let her go cuz she's bearing his child.. All of these made her believe Taijaan's words cuz due to his switching attitudes towards her, she had already become very apprehensive about Hamza's real emotions and motives regarding her. Lastly.. Hamza going to Khurram and not believing is a very apt example of a betrayed heart & baffled mind topped with loss of evidences. Also.. For Hamza I don't think Hala's complaints or his mother's action is an issue. Somewhere deep down he knows to a certain extent how his mother is, that's why she said to Hala, unhone kiya hai fir bhi mat batana, it means he knew. But as a son his mother is the same lady who made him who he is with her sacrifices. Its not easy for Hamza to confront his mother, and let's be honest.. Can we do so with our own mother so easily? It's not just respect and love but also the mental conditioning that we have as natives of Indian subcontinent or Asians. Here it's not like west that we move out at 16, call and ask to see our parents and send invites to parents for our wedding. We are a culture of family values, be it India or Pakistan.. Here parents are kept at a certain pedestal and dramas are definitely a reflection of the society they are catering to. Coming back to Hamza.. I feel what Hamza is bothered about is Hala's distant behavior with him when he went to see her and then a few minutes later her smiling and chatting with Khurram. Also, as a human Hamza must be reminded of Hala's weird behaviors, her crying, being uneasy ever since Khurram entered Rifat Manzil. He is hurt that the woman he loved, his wife, wasn't in love with him, wasn't happy with him. And when you genuinely love someone, the worst feeling you can ever have is.. That person is with you but not in love with you, not happy with you. Wo insaan aapka ho ke bhi na ho.. Isse zyada badi chot kisi bhi khuddar insaan ke liye kuchh nahin ho sakti. And if you love someone for real and have a certain level of maturity.. You choose to let them go if it makes them happy rather than forcefully keeping them with you. Overall, the key to solve all the misunderstandings is Roomi's confession about her deeds in the driver incident and Shafaq's statement regarding the aftermath of Khurram's lies getting exposed at her house. So for me as human beings, the mess that they both are in is real. Both are shikaar of the same phenomenon.. Doodh ka jala chaas ko bhi phoonk phoonk ke pita hai.. But yess... At the end this could have been a little precise, but makers are enjoying this stretched version a lot for obvious reasons. Also I feel either the writers and director have forgotten about Roomi's misdeeds or have already forgiven her for those acts on behalf of Hala and Hamza, and left them both running in the hamster wheel behind one another. But a thing not to be forgotten is that Rumi has to be put in a situation of crisis where either she or Shahjahaan end up splurging the truth. Taking into account the kind of person Shahjahaan is.. Its really likely that under any circumstances Rumi will be the one to disclose the truth and not her.

Yes bcz there is a great difference. In yks it was totally different scenario. People were already connected to the history of characters, plus asfand's character was like that..he had a gloominess, his tragic story was already in viewer's mind. But here they just had to show khajista's resilience, her duty towards her job. Story and execution has alot to do with it. Background is same bcz they went through painful incidents but in totally different manners. Plus a girl's and boy's feelings and journey always have different impacts..if same was on humtv even then too,,khajista would not be able to hit us that hard. Character's buil up..story everything matters to connect us emotionally

I had very high hopes from Pehchan, leaving aside as how they stretched it so long. The fact that even in the last episode sharmeen's conversation only revolved around the second women. And not around a women's identity and value. The story already left all logics out. From the perspective of both the main characters, kuki not confronting her husband, and husband even after being reminded by the father that she must have found out about khehksha, ignored it. Throughout thinking he was the best husband she would have had. Secondly, the character of aziz was so badly wasted, kuki and adan pursing him to marry without his consent made no sense. Why was this character even in the story. Third, the story would have been much better without the kids. As a unhappy married women. And a unhappy married mother are two different people. Again there was no mention of how children treat their mothers for granted. That also played a big role in kukis break down.

I have witnessed this closely. And I'm liking fraud drama, zimmal's character is the most relatable in this one. I know that's not the main track but if the drama makers intend to give any message through this then it's a worthy watch.

Hala is justified, because Hamza only stands between his mother & wife but wants her to stay in the same toxic house. Hala thinks (and rightly so) that Hamza might give her child to his mother. Show one reason why hala should not doubt Hamza in case of baby because in her life every body change their faces with the situation Even Hamza changed for while as per the situation and Hala somewhere accepted that no one accepts her unconditionally this was even shown symbolically where she crosses her face seeing herself in the glass and she's not trusting hamza in baby case and hamza is like he got bloody time to talk to everyone but he never talks to hala and clarifies his queries with her . He saw kurram and hala together for first time he didn't ask her for clarification and he started behaving differently now second time he saw them together he directly went to him to unite them arey ask hala what is her take on this no he went directly without confirming anything I actually wish hala hold his shirt and ask him what he think of himself means when he wanted he married her ,he said he won't leave her because he is not that kind of person who is afraid of commitment, he will stand up for her, but when actual time has come for him to be with her then he left her alone be it in case of medicine incase of kurram and now when his mom is threating her and finally taking her alliance to kurram

Flooding tragedy - It is really horrible to watch the coverage in England. We are told that 45% of Pakistan is under water. We have donated money and feel really helpless even from so far away. Just devastating. It must be so much worse for everyone in Pakistan, but I agree with Aamina Ji, we do all have to keep living. It would be good for celebrities to think about what they make money from so that they don't appear out of touch with reality. I haven't seen the paid promotions but I imagine they would cause offence. Fraud- I agree has completely derailed. The drama was sold as being driven by a social issue, a con to be unmasked. What we have is the usual kichdri of multiple issues!! Evil stepmothers, bad real mothers, by the way, Shan is no father of the year either!! Who lets their child mix unsupervised with a girlfriend he just met!!! Why do the stepmother and half-sister treat Shan really well but not his daughter?? Agar Shan kay saath acting kar rehe hain tou uss ki baiti ko kyun witness banna rehe hain?? 😱😱😱 Mere Humsafar - This is a car crash of a story!!!! I wish I had never watched it!! There is nothing wrong with the acting. Hala and Hamza may well love each other but are unable to communicate with each other. They are not mature enough to be married. Neither understands what it means to be a husband or a wife. Biwi massy/bachi ka blend nahi hoti aur Shoher bank/bacha ka blend nahi hota. Hala lies easily and expects her husband to trust her. Hamza refuses to even acknowledge or protect his wife from the cruelty of his mother but expects Hala to trust him. 🤮🤮🤮 So, why are Fraud and Mere Humsafar this way??? To my mind, it is because the majority of drama audiences are addicted to crying women and girls. It is a kind of fetish. It is very unhealthy. The more women suffer in dramas, the more popular they get. The misery we find painful and distressing to watch is cathartic for a very large number of South Asian viewers. The more they watch, the more they want. Imagine how soul-destroying it is for the female actors to be suck playing/inflicting the same misery and the male actors to be perpetrators/apologists for it.

Just an explanation to Hasan’s question.Just talking about a character(a human being)Hala.. She said hamza trusts me and blah blah because somewhere down the line she knows he loves her and genuinely cares. After everything she has been through, they both have been through, he will now trust her always. Its a human nature to think like that even for a person like hamza. Its love and expectation even when its not worth it, a person kinda has.About the child, she is a mother, when it comes to her baby, be it a person she trusts or loves the most, when somebody says something that might hurt her kid or when someone says that her baby will be taken away, her reaction is so justified . When it comes to your baby, no logic no other love in this world exists other than that of a mother & her child.Hope m making sense here. But yes drams is being dragged and dragged

I absolutely agree with you. Both are human beings and will have basic human nature. But at the same time both are just insane. Hala is so dumb and Hamza is a mumma's boy. He didn't even bother to ask his mom after returning to home that what and why did you say to Hala . Hala is pregnant and knows the real side of cruelty of Shahjahan so overreaction is understandable by her side ( still is at wrong and responsible for all the problems) but Hamza just doesn't want to go in the depth of his mother's real nature.

And he feels Hala used to cry excessively for Khhurram ! The writer director have totally ruined the character of Hamza . Even I feel it's going the star plus way dragging and dragging unnecessarily. Mere humsafar: to answer your question hasan, hamza has let Hala down before when it’s Halas word against thais word - ex: pills that could have caused harm to the baby. So when Thai says this, it’s realistic (equally annoying though) that hala believes it. When it comes to a situation without Thai involvement, I can see why she trusts hamza, but hamza is human and is torn between mother and wife at times and unfortunately has sided with his mother so hala speaks from experience. She probably doesn’t f believe that hamza alone won’t take the child, but it’s not unrealistic to me for her to believe that Thai can create a situation in which hamza takes the child from hala … just my thoughts :)

Hi Amna and Hassan, Thank you for taking your time and sharing your views. As in today's episode, Hassan and you rightly pointed out stretch, content management, same saazshi content & all. As you people have medium, I suggest you both to address a few things in Haute bites or any other show. If you review content, HUM TV has low GPRS, TRP, and views in most of their dramas, however, they try and take risks, and give us different content but they lack in few things, including production value, I found even in some dramas when they showed "Rajj k ameer log magar lag nhe rhy hotay. secondly, marketing, they never did and even now doing marketing of their upcoming dramas, like Pehchaan is ended, Aitebaar is ending and still, we don't know the next drama which will replace them. Good thing, they almost give us episodes between 26-28 mostly, but still, we feel stretched. It means maybe a lack of content management. Now if you see Geo, the production value is great, but most of the content is typical with episodes of 40+, also extensive marketing (mostly) but got good GPRS, TRP and getting views in their dramas. ARY got almost good GPRS, TRP, and views in their all dramas with all saazshi content on top, and following the geo steps of 40+ episodes. The point is that we all watch and promote the problematic content, mass audience giving them TRP, views, and still expecting to get different content. Please raise your voice and ask your audience to intelligently choose the dramas which are worth their time, so that channels make the effort to deliver the different and best content. Thank you, Keep up the good work :)

I think there is a fair answer for Hala's mistrust in Hamza. She doesn't doubt his love but now knows that ShahJahan is untouchable territory for him no matter how low she goes. Hala's trauma has ALWAYS been dismissed by Hamza, the pills episode broke her trust completely in that regard. She keeps narrating every act of hers and yet it falls to deaf ears. Hala got triggered when SJ first threatened to take the baby and remember her beloved husband's reaction to it? Yup...nothing as usual. Hamza has been nothing but a puppet speaking useless romantic lines. Hala k liye Hamza hai? Okay but she needs much more to survive and his mother literally wants her to die so...

Can i point out here that in western world doctors have stopped wearing white coats because they are considered to carry infections. Doctors wear scrubs in western world. I'm not sure whether Pakistani doctors still wear white coats or is it just in the drama.

Amna: The story is now dragging, there's nothing noteworthy that happened in these two/one episodes, they're now just doing it for the sake of views k bs drama khatam na ho, mujhey tou aisa kuch b khaas nai laga is episode mein and I have..... Hassan as always cuts in: aik minute Amna, aik minute, main kehna chahun ga k performances was so gud, Jibran looks so gud yaar, ap ne dekha jab usny Irha ko dekha, bohat ache expressions thy, he's such a gud actor, Danish ne adakaari bohat achi ki hai.... like, please 🙏 Hassan, please. sorry to say, but let me say this, this much Simping is not necessary and not needed at all, agar kisi dramay mein koi kami hai tou wo hai, usy khul k batayen, khaamiyan btaney k sath e within tenth of a second Hassan starts appreciating k kahin kisi ko bura na lag jae balance kr do sath e, Amna is saying such serious things and making such important points, and Hassan starts his CELEBRITY ADMIRATION VLOG. m not saying k appreciate na karen, but aik dafa kr dia sab ko pata chal gya k acting bohat achi hai, ab agay barhen, and now Amna and Hassan will say(if they'll read this comment) k nai g hum nai dartay, hum bindaas ho k review krte hn, tou phr agar kisi dramay ki burai ho rai hoti hai tou bas usi pe review ko khatam kr dia kren, balance krne ki koshish na kia kren, it gets so obvious. and Amna's and my frustration is at the same level at that point, can totally relate Amna Gee.

Ultimately, Pehchan wasn't about identity but about lack of communication and expression of love from the husband. That is what she wanted more than an identity of her own. The moment she got that, all issues around identity were dissolved and she went back to status quo.

"Hala bhi tou koi baat insan k bacho ki trah nahi krti" Hahahah. That was such a hilarious comment by Hasan and I loved the review of Mere Humsafar. That uloo ka p****... lol! You guys said exactly what a sane person would feel about the level of stupidity that drama offers. Sahi baat hai "sense na dhoondein ismein" .... 😆 well rounded!
