To be brutally honest kala doriya was not so enjoyable. It seems like this story has been repeated too many times now. Suno chanda season 1 had its charm and Chupke Chupke was amazing because of the cast and how well the characters meshed with the actors. Osman and Ayeza completely nailed it and there could not be a better choice for the characters we saw in that drama. In kala doriya, Osman seems a little misfit because of how well he played the very mature and bitter character of Faaz Ibrahim in chupke chupke. His comic timing was 10/10. In this drama he seems like a miscast and I would’ve preferred somebody more like Farhan Saeed because he has that laid back and fun vibe. I would’ve said the same thing for Faazs character if Farhan would be cast, because he doesn’t seem mature and would look misfit. On the other hand, Sana javed is not performing so good unfortunately. It seems like she’s really trying hard and its obvious that this type of comedy is not really her forte. It really does seem similar to Ayeza’s look because of the accessories and the colourful clothing but her comic timing and dialogue delivery are not nearly as good. I think saima akram chaudhry needs to focus on stories like ishq Jalebi and Chaudhry and sons now that have the same touch as all of her dramas but have underlying messages and a bigger plot. They are much better than her other plays in all honesty

The reasons why kala doriya fails to engage are precisely why it would work during Ramadan. First, these dramas are meant to be taken lightly which works during the gruelling Ramadan month. Audiences need light and comforting content of good old nuclear family systems. You might as well think of them as my big fat Pakistani wedding. Second, these dramas are meant to be enjoyed on a faster pace. Hence, the daily airing during Ramadan works. Again, there isn’t enough content and story to keep audiences excited and engaged on a weekly basis. Last, these formulaic dramas still need new characters and casting to maintain freshness. Repeating same faces, same troupes, and same situations will not yield same ratings.

Kala dooriya: Tbh it was so underwhelming Sana just over reacted a lot there was no face expression but a lot of extra unnecessary mouth movement or whatever. It's just the mixture of suno chanda, Chupke chupke, hum tum and a little bit of chaudhary and sons too. Mere humsafar: At this point I just really want this drama to end anyhow idc if they get divorced or live happily ever after just end this, Hala is being super unreasonable and toxic like stop! I started watching it because of Farhan but for now idc about it anymore. This drama is an absolute headache. I got hooked to pak dramas by watching Suno Chanda, really expected more ranjha ranjha kardi, Raqeeb se, ehd e wafa, Parizaad, zindagi gulzar hai, yakeen ka safar, dastaan, sadqay tumhare, udaari etc all these dramas raised the expectations bar,but for now habs, meray humnasheen are decent to watch! Rest are like star plus and all.

Those who are complaining about the hype surrounding his interviews are unaware of impact of stars like him or refuse to accept it. For those of us who were there to witness the rise of his stardom, and this channel's growth as well, seeing you getting to interview him seems like a really big deal! Also Fawad epitomizes a real superstar to me with his level of mystique and privacy. That makes his interviews (that are few and far in between) even more interesting and worthwhile to watch!

No doubts that Kala Doriya is the same old narrative and a combination of all ramzan dramas we have seen so far. BUT. I would still prefer watching it over regressive storylines such as KTK and Mere Humsafar. A light hearted drama with some comic relief (I agree its outdated) is still way better than toxicity.

Congratulations on getting an interview with Fawad! Super proud of you guys. This is an achievement that you got someone as private as him to agree for an interview - that too, as elaborate as this. It is a testament to the quality of questions and the comfortable and respectful environment you guys create in discussions. As an Indian, I've been in awe of Pakistani music and art. The screenplay and dialogues have kept me hooked. Dramas like Dastan or Jo Bichar Gaye which make me uncomfortable sometimes because they can be anti-India, I appreciate them equally, because it shows your truth, and does so wonderfully. I love to own the Pakistani dramas, but the very reason why they became popular amongst us has been taken away. Yes, Mere Humsafar is immensely watched, but will not be going in history as a celebrated drama. Watching Kaala Doriya feels like I'm experiencing some sort of Hum Tum fatigue - even I couldn't understand the family dynamics and I honestly couldn't care less. Same everything ugh. Wabaal and Fraud are also frustrating to watch. I'm not looking forward to Habs this week, because wahi ghisa pita biwi pe shak aur ladai wala dastoor dramo ka. Why can't we have a serial that doesn't increase my anxiety?

Kala Doriya- Agree with Hassan. Casting is all wrong. OB and Sana are too old for their characters while parents are too young. Miscasting, stale presentation. Hope it picks up later. Watching only for OB.

Hamnasheen novel ended at the point where they accuse Khajista she rejects Hadi and gl back to Sawat. They didn't show her marriage to darakzai. It just open ended and it was quite clear that she would get married to darakzai. They also mentioned that darakzai opened hospital for her. Its end was really really amazing

I have seen Chupke Chupke on repeat and never got bored of wataching it again,my all time fav drama specially because of casting,each and every character in that drama fits so well with their performances that now I cant think anyone else could have done better,hadi mishi cute love story with fresh faces of Aymen and Arslan was so refreshing,Faaz mature character(not freshly graduate) who is graduated and working for quite some time which they mentioned many times in drama fits with OB's age perfectly was not over the top with meenu confused and bubly girl Aiza played and all the other characters ama dadi gul apa mirchi kadu parents were amazing.For Kala Doriya OB's dialogues and even dialogue delivery both were so similiar to chupke chupke,sana javed trying so hard to be funny,ZQ's confused character breaking plants felt similar to meenu,I thought samina ahmed would be mother of khalid anum but they are playing husband and wife.Farhan ali agha looks elder brother to OB and Shehzad.Sorry but it was difficult to finish 1st episode of Kala Doriya.

Middle class families sahi connect kr rhi hein WABAAL se. Itna acha drama hai. University mein anum jesi itni larkian hein jo complex main hein. Police aese kaamon ke liye foran aajati hai asal mein bhi kyun ke unka apna roti pani jura hota aese cases se. Talha And sarah are best. Take wabaal only as a lesson for profit ke naam pr sood lene waley log. Itni layers hein wabaal mein.

finally a new episode 😁😁 just watched kaala doriya ep1 with my mom today. honestly, not impressed at all, which is surprising since it was just the first episode. idk if i’m being picky but i just felt there was too much overacting going on (various characters) the older dada and dadi are adorable though, and everything’s shown in a comedic sense but it’s tragic that loving partners are forced apart because of a family feud 😅

Ok, then Salma Hasan is 47 and Shezad sheikh is 39 she played his mom. This is how things work in Pakistani dramas. Some where Shezad said he is 29. His parents divorced in the early 80s according to my mom so no way he can be in his 20s.

Why aren't you reviewing Woh Pagal Si which is far better than primetime shows. I cannot wait to watch this beautiful drama every day. Such an enjoyable show with a positive protagonist such as Zaheen and his lovely realistic middle class family. Hira Khan in a much better leading role than mere hamsafar. I got hooked after starting at the 16th episode then caught up by binge watching.

We still admire HUMSAFAR even after more than ten years. We are annoyed at the way Mere Humsafar is going at present. The production team these days just to extract a few extra episodes destroy the whole intensity and Impact of the drama. That is why, we now do not have dramas like Humsafar, Zindagi Gulzar hai, Daam, Pyaare Afzal... etc.

Kaala Doria looked like a repeat telecast. Repetitive situations and storyline, same old treatment and execution, same type of humour. Even the houses are the same. The drama seems to be a filler in the channel’s time slot. Saima Akram Ch. should be allowed to take a break. If nothing else, why can’t we have remakes of k drama, rom coms. But the problem is, would workplace romance be acceptable to audience at large, in this age of taliban mentality? Audience was much more broad minded during the era of Hasina Moeen. Where affairs with salis, multiple marriages, are acceptable, girls working along side males in corporate sector, running after criminals as detectives and lawyers , having a relationship with a co worker or the boss, would not be. Writers , today, show household stories and first cousin romance to avoid controversy and audience like me is shifting to k dramas, for new, fresh storylines.

K dramas are also following same storyline tbh, rich businessman falls in love with her poor pretty employee and there is always a 3rd person who was friend with the girl since childood 😂 Nothing new there but the romance is cute and people want romance nd cute moments

#Kala Doriya - I came for Osman but from the teaser & the first episode I got the Chupkay Chupkay vibes. Chupkay Chupkay was different in a way because we had 2 content creators, Arsalan & Osman that improvised the script. Jokes were sarcastic & with Ali Safina & Hadi, I enjoyed the bromance. Meenu was natural & the performance didn't feel forced. The characters are bit loud in Kala Dooriya. Much as I love watching Osman, I rather watch Chupkay Chupkay for the 20th time. There is a bias on my part as I finding it difficult to separate art from how the "stars" have behaved offscreen.

Hasan I watched a clip of your interview with humayun. Your questions to him were perfect. . Though humayun got a tiny annoyed but that’s his problem and not yours. Ppl who criticized you on this do not understand the true value of time: yes making us a fool for 40 weeks isn’t worth it. You were definitely on the point.
