PNES is a mental suppression problem and is similar to people who die from grief. When problems get so pushed down inside it can manifest itself physically! You need to get down to the root cause, identify it and use exposure therapy to treat it.

This happened to my husband with the shock of finding our baby had died from SUIDS. He fell to the ground onto his back, his knees were bent up and his body was jerking off the ground. He quickly recovered from the episode although for us both the grief and trauma of the day has never left us.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I hope you and your husband find healing. You have went through one of the most devastating experiences ever. Peace and hope to you.

It's amazing how many of us can relate to these experiences. It's important to share our stories and support each other through the journey.

This probably happens with highly sensitive person (HSP). I'm saying that because I'm HSP and also used to have epilepsy probably because emotional and stress factors. In about 20 year they never found the cause in my brain. Maybe I just did😊

Is it possible to have non epileptic seizures with low blood sugar or hormonal changes?

Have you got your answer?
@kellymckinney36307 ай бұрын
@@sunainasadia4641 I explained to my doctors what the triggers are and they still say they’re psychogenic. They recommend I continue therapy, have me on muscle relaxers, and an anti epileptic med/mood stabilizer.

Yes, it is possible to experience non-epileptic seizures due to low blood sugar or hormonal changes. It's always best to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice.

Can these kinds of seizures appear to look like psychosis? I was having psychosis like episodes before my diagnosis, but me appearing to have seizures (my psychiatrist calls them pseudo seizures) one night, landed me in the hospital and had to have my brain scan for three days, then got my diagnosis later. This is also absolutely comforting to me, though because some days when I have too much mentally going on and do not know how to process it, they happen in this helps know that I am still somewhat normal. 😂

These seizures are psychotic induced. So you can very much experience psychosis and have a seizure because of it. These seizures can stop abruptly, leave, and then abruptly come back as well. Within minutes or hours.

Thanks for sharing! Yes, these are psychogenic in nature so it would make sense that they are tied to psychosis.

@GilSolanoREEGT Жыл бұрын
If you have vomiting, there is a chance it could be epileptic seizures. However, you need to consult your doctor to verify.

I've had stress seizures since I'm 6 years old, and it's been 6 years since my last episode, but with the "aura" or anxiety frequently happening when sleeping or in silent situations. I'm happy to find a proper name to this because nobody in my family took me seriously after they were told it was an emotional response. 20 years of dealing with the anxiety of this alone and how it affected my brain development in my childhood. Thank you for showing a different name to it. ❤

@@ThisIsForDrew How lucky I am that Allah has made me a Muslim. After having sex with my wife, we Muslims take a ghusl (bath) and I took a ghusl almost at midnight, because of which the jinn overcame my mind. And after some months I used to have this problem, then I tied the tail and amulet, so now Alhamdulillah I am completely fine, I have no epilepsy etc.
