Years ago, I learned about Kumon Math on the Internet and enrolled my godson who was struggling in the subject. Today, he's 40 years old and running his own business. Needless to say, Math is one of his strengths! ❤

A lot of students complain that Kumon is traumatic so I would consider reading reviews before using them. The best way to learn math is practice practice practice for many hours!

1. Find a method of learning that works for your child. 2. Then practice, practice, practice!

They look like basic math problems. Can’t you do that without the workbooks?
@SL-lz9jr3 ай бұрын
It’s probably to help reinforce what is learned. Or maybe the exercises are taught in a way that is different from traditional classroom math? As someone who did well enough in math with uneducated parents who couldn’t afford Kumon even if I needed it, I can’t really tell how useful these workbooks are. My much younger cousins on the other hand had Tiger parents and had similar workbooks. My parents were hands off with my education so how well I did was up to me.

You can but then you would need to make up math problems for your child on your own. That would take a lot of time and effort. The point of programs like Kumon and Gilton are to make the math fundamentals second nature. To be competent at any higher level math you need to have that skill. Not having that fundamental skill is like trying to write an essay but having to stop every few seconds to figure out how to spell a word.
