The original manga ended with the end of season 3, then Fujimaki created "Extra Game" as sort of an epilogue. They turned that into the Last Game movie, which is pretty faithful to the manga, except the ending doesn't have Kagami leaving the team for America. There's a couple little extra things that were cut for time, but it's actually a fun read, if you're into manga

Fun fact: 1. In the manga, Jason didn't accept the result and requested a rematch, and Nash told him to shut up 2. An NG scene showing them actually paddling home on a raft 😂 3. Riko and Momoi actually contributed to the team than just sitting there 4. Kagami didn't leave to America. Anyway I like the anime's ending. Would be really fun if Haizaki transferred to Seirin to be Kuroko's new light, and start his redemption arc 😂 5. Nash actually has a backstory. He was like Akashi, forced to train like crazy. That's why he is so good at having no unnecessary movements and Belial Eyes. And that's the reason he hates half assed player who invested nothing into basketball. 6. Besides Nash and Jason, another Jabberwok's player was mentioned. His name is Allan and he could do a Barrier Jumper at GOM level. He is said to be another genius alongside the two. Would be fun if his last name were Bronze (they missed the chance) 😂

Akashi is not complete like he said the solo player part is always playing solo he is not good in team work but good in solo and the old akashi is a team player good in passing and not always solo he depend in team mate thats why akashi erase the solo akashi so he can use both skill to complete the emperor eye.

Would highly recommend Hajime no Ippo (Boxing) and Slam Dunk (Basketball) for sports anime. no super powers, just solid storytelling. Slam Dunk is a little older so pacing might feel a little slower (like early one piece pacing), but the storytelling was phenomenal (and u will be able to see some influence from slam dunk in modern anime's like Naruto in terms of character development). i've seen over 30 sports anime, and for me, this are the 2 best sports anime in terms of story. Kuroko and Haikyuu comes close after. Kuroko, like Blue Lock s1, just have better animation by far.

The MVP of the game was easily Aomine. Akashi could have been if he combined sooner but overall, Aomine is the ultimate player who can make any shot and is the fastest most agile player who can also jump high asf (not as high as kagami but its like having a 44 inch vert vs a 48 inch vert). As a player, he's the ultimate superstar. Kise can be the best but he has unrealistic abilities.
