I loved Papa Roach's original version, but I like this better. I like how lyrics and arrangement marry to really tell you the story of a man at his time of complete desperation. As for FIR they been around for around a decade or so. They were kind of punk/metal core but have evolved over the years. The stuff they have been putting out for the last four years or so has been utter fire with now five or six songs where you have no idea what to expect from rap to rock to metal to epic vocal ballard's. Trilogy (Losing my mind, losing my life and Drugs) and Popular Monster have started a huge new wave of fans.

Ronnie is exceptional in everything he does. Good at screaming, great at rapping, and next level when it comes to singing. His biggest strength though is story telling and lyricism. He makes you feel everything that he says. He's very vulnerable and relatable and I think that's what has created the massive following in the past several years. Go down the FIR rabbit hole that I'm sure has already been mentioned in the comments. It's worth your time.

Losing my mind was what made me go oh shit I like these guys always knew them from when they started didn't like their first few songs and never listened to them for years but losing my mind grabbed me then I heard the rest of the trilogy and the first reimagined song that first reimagined version of the drug in me is you made me a super fan not just a fan he's the best on the planet

To me the songs represent different stages of grief... Original - anxiety/anger/bitterness. To me, this version is despair/heartache/paranoia.
