Vent alert: I walked away from a toxic group of friends in August and now with covid, I have nobody to talk to. No one to vent to. No one that cares about my life. Just totally alone. That’s why I watch Colleen... she is so positive and always finds the positive, it’s what keeps me going right now.

I recently just left a very toxic friend and it was very hard for me. We’ve been friends for at least 10 years so going on with life without them is hard. I don’t feel close to any of my other friends enough to talk about personal things. I understand the pin of feeling alone. I can’t even talk to my family because the Don’t support anything I do. Just remember that you are worthy and everything will be okay!! You are so loved!!

2020 was so horrific for many people and I’m blessed to say it wasn’t the same for me. My whole childhood was a mess all the way up until the last few years. It felt good to catch a break this last year. I’m not bragging I’m just saying that I’m thankful and blessed 💕

my hard thing is anxiety. i feel like i’m different than everyone and that’s why i can’t find any friends that are good. but my biggest thing is every night or when someone leaves i worry that someone in my life is going to pass away. it causes me to not be able to sleep and have to say good night and “i love you” agalion times and i still am worried. i don’t want them to pass and my not have said something or left it on a bad note. this took a lot to say but hopefully it helps someone out there

This year, I went through a lot of mental health struggles that were very new to me. I struggled a lot with my trichotillomania, to the point where I had zero eyelashes for weeks at a time (my compulsion is picking my eyelashes). Hearing you talk so openly about skin/hair picking disorders has made such a huge impact on me. Watching your vlogs and knowing that someone that I've ADORED for YEARS, let alone someone else in general, is going through the same thing is so comforting, I just want to give you a huge hug. I've also been finding out a lot more about my ADHD this year! Since I started watching you (back in 2010) I knew that we were very similar, personality wise, but this whole quarantine has made me realize how ACTUALLY SIMILAR WE ARE AT OUR CORES. Ending this on a positive note, I have been able to begin finding the most authentic version of myself, respecting myself, valuing the art I put out, and acknowledging that we're all human and make mistakes. I have really been struggling with lack of routine during this time--I'm furloughed from my job which means I'm taking advantage of that like Colleen is to the best of my ability and staying quarantined except for walks and trips every 3 weeks to the grocery store--Watching Colleen has been one of the only things that has remained consistent in my day--Thank you for daily vlogging Colleen. It's one of the only things that's been consistent for me through these struggles. Your open nature about mental health has also caused me to make progress in therapy. I started my first therapy session of 2021 by talking to my therapist about wanting to get assessed for OCD, dermatillomania and ADHD because I am annoyed about the same things on TikTok as you, but also see how similar you and I are in so many ways--like the not making eye contact when talking to people. I've confirmed with my sister about my skin picking symptoms and she says I've been doing it since I was a toddler and I know depression and anxiety run in my family--You've helped me warm up to the idea of getting professional assessments and help coping and managing all of these symptoms and possible diagnoses. I am so grateful to you for so many reasons. Thank you for setting a good example of taking Covid-19 seriously, and for acknowledging that you are able to do it because of privileges that you have due to your circumstances. I am proud of you for how much you have grown. I've been watching you since maybe 2012. You have come so far and I can't see what life teaches you and all of us next.

Therapy is such a hard thing to start, but you’re over the first hurdle, and things will start to get easier! I’m proud of you for getting the help you need, and I hope it really helps you in whatever way you need! My venting: Im a teacher and starting this upcoming Monday the students come back to school. I am excited to reconnect with all of them. I think it's necessary for them to come back because the majority of them are struggling with online learning. But right next to my excitement is fear. I fear that the school with shut down again. I fear the my students may get sick or take sickness home to their family. I fear that I will get sick or bring it home to my family. I wish there was a happy medium.. But in the end I think the students coming back to school is the best option. I hope..

My school has been going to school in cohorts, it hasn't been to bad. They are taking extra precautions to be safe and clean, but again, there are still a few cases. Make sure you do your best to keep your class a safe and sanitized place and you'll be doing your part! Make the world smile😁

Thank you. Today has been the hardest day for me since like April of last year. I’ve been living with my parents and feeling stuck and useless and they just kept adding to that, so I left. I packed up whatever could fit in my little Mini Cooper and just left. I’m terrified but also feel a sense of peace knowing this is the right thing for me right now. I agree with you 100% about the friends. I'm a teen as well and, it feels like I'm always there when they need someone but all of a sudden I'm alone. For me personally, it might be because I don't show when I need someone but honestly that's because I'm used to not having anyone when I need it so it stays to myself anyway. Here is my venting- My dad went to prison a couple days after Christmas in 2019. We were able to visit him every weekend until covid hit. Then a couple weeks before Thanksgiving visits opened up but for only 18+ people and I am currently 17. Then after Thanksgiving visits shut down. And I haven't seen him since March. And I've struggled with separation anxiety all my life and becoming very attached to people, him being one of them. And before he went to prison he was home for many years because of a work injury so I relied on him for emotional support pretty much everyday after school. And lately I've been really sad about him not being here. And I'm hoping he gets to come home this year. -If your reading this thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this ❤️

something I’ve been going through is having a bad relationship with my parents. we argue a lot and I think it is due to all the stress we all are going through from 2020. my step dad lost his dad and I lost my grandmother and it’s been hard not seeing people and having a comfort place.
