The white envelope is like a free print and then the brown one is like a cute earthy reuseable bag for something!

Hey Baylee! Could you put a piece of stiff cardstock or cardboard in the brown bags to help the printer grab them and keep them straight and help straighten out some of the wrinkles? I know that might make the process more tedious, but it might be worth trying! Edit: Someone down below mentioned chipboard and I remembered that you put a stiff backing piece of cardboard/chipboard in all your print orders anyway, so if you loaded that in ahead of time, printed it, and left it, that could consolidate one step out of the process and solve the problem you're having. All this assume the printer plays nice with thicker materials like cardboard, but you could always try.

This is the perfect solution - I've had to print on bags like this before and have put cardstock inside to feed them through the printer. Hope this helps, Baylee.

For counting the pin backings you can use a long spatula/ palette knife. I work in a pharmacy and we use those to count pills and makes the job a lot easier/faster

If you’re stamping I recommend a stamping platform such as the Misty or the Tim Holt platform. It holds the paper and stamp to make it easier to stamp multiple times. I personally have the Tim Holt one but I have seen the Misty and its very similar.

For the bags it might be worth it to iron the bags, I do this with my patterns for sewing and it works wonders. Just don't forget to turn off the steam option if your iron has one. It's time consuming but it does work.

I know it would take time, but would it help to pop some thin card within the brown envelopes to keep them straight as they go through the printer? I just wondered in case it was quicker than having to watch the printer the whole time :)

Didn't you have that "custom stamp" text that you used for the advent calendars? You could rearrange them to say Baylee Jae. It wouldn't be the right font and would take 3 stamps per bag, but it'd have your name on it too!
@chronischgeheilt3 жыл бұрын
You can actually make your own stamps that stick to the acrylic block using your cricut. There's compatible stamp sheets for the cricut that stick on the acrylic blocks. It's called 'Cuttables stamp sheet'. And there is also tutorials online how to make a rubber stamp with the cricut, which is probably better suited for line art because you can glue an uncut rubber block or a wood piece to the cut line art before removing it from the mat. That way the line art won't get distorted. I am not sure if there is a way to glue the cuttables silicone sheets in that way.

Have you thought about maybe ironing the brown envelopes??? Put the iron on a relatively low setting, put a towel or something underneath and then ontop too and then iron over them ? I feel like that would help them, or maybe put a REALLY heavy book ontop of them

THe only thing I can think of to fix the wrinkles would be to iron the ends maybe? Like use a block of wood or wooden cutting board for the firmest sruface underneath. At least to help you get through the last of your stash and then you can figure out what you want to do from there. Then again that might be too time consuming. Everything looks really nice by the way, and I'm hoping I didn't miss fall guys today. I'm headed there next for something to watch while I do dishes. Good luck!

It's a bit late for this batch, but if you do the locking backs in the future you could maybe try a pill counter like pharmacists use? That would be super satisfying and probably more efficient. (As long as the backs fit but I feel like there are pills as big as the backs so idk?)

You should get a stamp positioning tool! The MISTI is a great brand. These will hold your stamps and keep everything in the correct position
@rachel57413 жыл бұрын
Maybe you could insert some card into the brown sleeves, giving it some weight and to keep them straight, to avoid it from crinkling come printing since it hasn’t really got much pressure to apply the ink on.
@yakairalopez40733 жыл бұрын
Why you don't make a nice stamp for envelope sleeves? is probably going to be less of a problem then printing (and less ink) and they can be place anywhere on the sleeves, layer it, change colors ect.

@PigPancake3 жыл бұрын
This might sound weird, but why don't you try to carefully to do a light damp ironing with a cloth over for protection of the iron and the envelope. From experience it have worked for me.. It got tested out bc I was once unlucky at the sewing/designer school I went too.. a bottle with water had leaked in my bag and everything in it got soaked, including all my sketches ..had to dry them off somehow.. so was like why not try the iron they had in the classroom.. fortunately it work.. they dried up and i got out all the wrinkles in the paper 😅
@christinesmith69103 жыл бұрын
If you wanted all the stamping on the brown bags to be identical, you can get something called a stamping platform, or a MISTI and you can line the bag up in the corner and have multiple stamps on the platform and you'll get perfect positioning every time and you'd only have to stamp once for each bag :D 🥰 xxx

I found that the Stamp Easy system is really good for getting stamps accurate each time, as you don't have to do it manually, you just flip it over and press down. I had real trouble with ink not showing well enough or accidentally jogging the stamp but it let me reink so I didn't have to try lining it up again. Just wanted to mention it. ^^

You could try to press the notion bags to get the crinkles out. Use heavy books on the edges like you did when you make the booklet for Christian's card game score sheets. Let them sit for a day or so and see if that helps?

For the brown sleeves, try squishing some in between heavy books and it might flatten them out! Or depending on the type of paper (looks almost like baking paper😂) you could try ironing a pile at the bottom seam to flatten them

For the notion bags being wrinkled could you separate small stacks (ie say 20 bags) and weigh them with books and leave them overnight then you’d have a big collection of flattened bags that would safely print? I love the look of the packaging and your video intro was beautiful and so aesthetic. On another note.. when you said it’s been 4 years since you got your laptop I was shocked. I felt old.
