In this video I show you how I typically fade my hair. For all of those who commented on my last video saying it was fake because I didn’t show the back and right side of my head... this ones for you lol
WARNING: If you decide to cut your own hair, do not expect it to be perfect on the first try. Cutting your own hair takes repetition and practice and you will likely mess up your first couple of times. I’ve been cutting my own hair for years and I’ve messed up countless times. I am still very far from perfect but I try to get better each time I cut my hair. I hope you learn something in this video and please let me know in the comments what other videos you’d like to see!

Start with higher guards instead of going from ZERO. Try to from ONE up. Also, use fixed mirrors... dont use hand mirrors. Go slow, turning off the clipper to train your movement and get a grip on it after going for the cut.

Misbah Uddin the back is the easiest part. Simply have a good hand held mirror & a larger mirror on the wall, then look into the small mirror whilst standing with your back to the larger one. Easy

I've never ever cut my own hair before and following your method I got my haircut and fade 70% near to how my barber cuts it. The back is where I struggled but I absolutely recommend this video. For a beginner I would of taken 50% but I'm so happy with how my cut turned out. Thanks so much!!

Nicely done brotha, you make look easy! Definitely need alot of practice and getting use to since most are not comfortable working clippers from both hands and following in the mirror can be confusing. Seems like a great opportunity for a mobile barber biz. Like a food truck, someone could make a barber truck where people could line up for a quick fade

Hey Andrew, i stumbled upon your videos a while back and it inspired me to cut my hair myself because i love mid fadebhair cut and the barber i go to is expensive to get a clean cut every week. I bought Andis master, Andis slimline pro and andis foil shaver. It might take a while for me to get it perfect like you do but thanks for inspiring me mate. Keep up the good work. Cheers. Any suggestions before i start the journey next week when everything arrives ?
@AndrewCuts
@AndrewCuts 4 жыл бұрын
Suman K C thank you for the kind words brotha. You picked some great tools to get started. My suggestions would be take your time, practice/watch videos often, and don’t get discouraged if/when you mess up. Learning to your hair is something that takes a lot of time and practice and messing up is just part of the process. Learn from the mistakes you make and keep practicing. If you have any questions or need any tips, drop another comment or hmu on Instagram @andrew.cuts. Thanks and good luck!!💈

Sangita Shah probably a foil shaver because it cuts the small grains of hair. That being said a mix of the two like a trimmer then a foil shaver brings the closest cut
