For some perspective on this rendition. This cover is of the Linda Ronstadt version which is essentially a duet with Nicholette Larson (Sammy is doing Nicholette). These are two generational talents and Maggie and Sammy nail it cold. This happens because the Foxes are all generational talents in their own rite. On time, in tune, perfect blend backup and lead vocals are the super power of F+F. Nicholette died too young and Linda can no longer sing. Thank god we have these guys to help keep this great music alive.

@@scottmccauley1761 Yes, and if I remember correctly, the harmonic descant sung by Sammie was actually the chorus line sung by Evie. Really good version.
This is so much better than singing contest winners like Carrie Underwood and her insincere crappy tributes to a real talent like Linda Ronstadt. These artists are real musicians and deserve to be far more famous than they are! Playing gigs like this is how you learn your craft, not appearing on a cheesy tv contest. Oh yeah, and no voice auto tune here either.

The more I watch and listen to this performance the better it sounds. Tight band, great sound quality, and of course fantastic harmonies with the girls. What a wonderful sound you guys have!

The original was by Evie Sands, and it was the Hollies who made it a classic in 1966. Talk about three part harmonies and musicianship. Linda Ronstadt was really a latecomer in 1980.

Sorry, but this is better than Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.............I've listened to them both at least a hundred times and this is the winner....And some tremendous guitar work I might add....

Love to see them take a crack at “ Poor poor pitiful me” or “tumbling dice”. They got the chops.

I don't recall if I heard them sing it before - I have heard a lot - but a fantastic performance - Sammi and Maggie blended so well it was truly a magnificent performance

I was going to say that the foxes had nailed it but in all honesty the whole group nailed it. Good singers are no good without good musicians and vice versa. Good sound is only part of the equation, good attitudes are also needed. This group has it all in abundance.

Sammi is great on this she just gets in on key every time . Also my favorite Sammie dress. This was when an old man got hooked on two teenage angel singers

I wished you’d never pointed that out 😂. Listened to this a thousand times and never noticed it until now. It’s like learning C3-PO has one silver leg.

@Zachary - lol!! Toby did turn and look! He must ride, most people that ride instinctively look when they hear that rumble! I ride and I catch myself looking whenever I hear one! 😆 😂

Shocking excellence, few big name musical acts come close the talent of foxes and fossils.
