My dad passed away last October. Ive got a wife and four kids, a mom who isnt dealing well, 2 jobs, debt, and there just hasnt been a whole lot of time to just be alone and quiet to come to terms with life. I don't know why, but this video helped me reconnect with the memory of my mother. I lost her, my whole world, in 2020 to a high driver. After nonstop panic attacks that nothing could fix, I had to cut her memory out of me to stay sane. Now, even when I want to think of her, I can't quite do it in detail. But tonight, I was able to cry for her. Thank you.

I often wonder why it is exactly these videos are so appealing. There are the obvious reasons we all know of course. But I feel there is something deeper at play. As if we are comforted by a familiar feeling of being looked after by someone caring. It’s the feeling I got when I was younger and I would be staying with friends, and a parent would cook for you in a place that wasn’t entirely familiar. Like someone’s holiday house, or at a camp. I can’t quite place it, but it’s along those lines.
