I think this song is a prequel to before🥹I rewatched before after watching oceans & engines and CRIED SO HARD. idk if it's meant to be connect but THE PARALLELS OMG- the handshake and eating on top of the car!!! it's sad bc in o&e when they were eating burgers on top of the car "Ben" talks abt how Niki was right n that he was hungry. then in before Ben declines Niki's offer of her burger 😭😭😭CRYING SO HARD. Also the part in before where she kisses him first is similar to how she said I love you first in o&e!! They were also wearing the same uniform i believe and the guy has the same name from both music videos. to think "before" is a year after "oceans&engines" make me cry!!!! I relatea little too much to before like WAY TOO MUCH. def rewatch both videos and you'll see the parallels
