Can the FTX Banzai work in RWD - RC Drift Diaries Ep9 - Drift Spot Lincoln

Welcome to the new Channel Drift Spot Lincoln, these videos are older now, but I wanted to move them to the right channel so they can be not ‘adult only’. This way they will reach more people and perhaps help others. More Drift Diaries are coming and far more advanced/detailed as we have all moved on so much in RC Drifting. But… here is how our story began. As total noobies.
So the FTX, it's a car park smasher right? Well... I wonder how far you can go to convert it to RWD, with cheap parts?!
Why the lack of spending? Well if you have moneybags you would buy a RWD chassis, but if you're developing your skills perhaps you might try to make your 4WD work in 2WD? See how I got on before you do it!

The shell is 401520949844 item on ebay. The cars are great fun. But really just for road use and smashing about. If by track racing you mean indoor tracks then you need a RWD car. Check rc drift UK group on Facebook

Would removing the driveshafts on front and fit the 3d printed knuckles work on there own

No not enough lock. Save your money and buy an RDX or similar chassis for proper rwd. The ftx is great as it is for outdoors

@joshuasalisbury789 everything else can be moved over to the rdx chassis. Or yd2 would be good too. You'll need a gyro. Onisiki make the cheapest good one

@joshuasalisbury789 if you meant the body on the ftx. It was just a cheap ebay one. Do a search for 1/10 rc body on ebay and browse!

I will put them on the Drift Spot Thingiverse. But... I have to warn you, it didn't do enough to make it rwd and good enough. You're better buying a rwd chassis cheap and moving your parts over to get started on rwd. Like a d5 for example. But ill put them on thingiverse for you before next weekend. :)

you need a gyro friend, with a gyro i think it will drift

@healeysvt2008 not enough cash in it. Might be fun to try this again knowing more about rc. But you'd replace so much! Cost vs gain isn't good enough. Now knowing much more about rc id 100% just buy rwd. Sorry.
