Regular users aren't out there manhandling their devices and trying to get them to break. The hardware will be just fine for most people if they choose to keep it for that long. Though I do wonder how watered down the new versions are going to be years down the line for this device.

Honestly Google might fail to deliver the promise of the support. It’s easier said than done to say that you’ll offer support. Actually have to see it happen.

99%? Do you have any statistics for that number?

Working in the food and beverage industy my main reason to shell out the extra 300 dollars for the Pro would actually have been for the thermometer more than anything else, as working with different venues and food safety would have been a very handy and very pro pocket tool to have, other than carrying a laser thermometer around.. Ended up just bying the Pixel 8 though, as the size and value is great. :-D

I believe Apple is supposedly working with manufacturers/ developers to back and make MagSafe the standard with qi2 wireless charging. Would be nice to see Apple bringing a positive change to the smartphone market
@alanharper23 Жыл бұрын
Yes they’ve contributed the MagSafe tech to the Qi2 standard, though not many (if any) Android phones support that new standard yet. Might have to wait until the S24 next year.

I truly appreciate how you use a box cutter to take the phone out of the box rather than the pull tab at the bottom.
