Another option is to take the headrests off on the passenger seat, slide it forward and lean it all the way back. This makes the top of the front seat at the same height as the rear seats when theyre folded down. I did this in combination with a 4" air mattress to car camp over thanksgiving. If you need more support you could build a little frame for the front seat to hold your feet up, but I found my bodyweight was placed in a way where I didn't need the extra leg support.

Why the boards? My 2024 6 nocturnal grey, sunroof and AWD, just arrived. Delivery this week.

Because the seat back is higher than the floor of the trunk. That would be super uncomfortable lol. Plus the top of the seat back to the far back of the car is not long enough for me, at 6'2 I needed the planks to extend past to the top of the seat.

How sound proof is it? Kids could sleep in there while mum and dad ahem attend to other things in the tent.

@@cyruslad5462 very! The ioniq 6 has laminated windows all around and copious amounts of sound deadening insulation. Plus, with the HVAC system producing a constant white noise, exterior sounds are very hard to hear.

@edsgarage001 oh, nice, hopefully that hum is the same frequency as my tinnitus. Been waiting 10 months for my ultimate rwd, I know the cargo ship docked last week so hopefully soon. Any longer and the face lift will be out lol.

@edsgarage001 I'm in England near Scottish borders(great camping along Hadrians wall) my local Hyundai garage had one floor model and 1 demonstrator for 4 month then even they went, every Ioniq6 they've ordered since it launched has been sold before it was built. In fact I wanted AWD but their quota was gone and would've been an additional 3 months. I hope it's not too under powered. Meanwhile my Mazda engine blew last week so I'm at the limit of my patience lol.

Is there a way to do that while "level 2 (or level 1) charging" ?

Yep, you don't actually need to put it in utility mode because when you're charging, it'll never "start" the vehicle anyway. So, start charging, then get back in and put your foot on the brake and press the start button. It'll light everything up, but it won't go into "ready" mode. From there, you can just stay like that for hours.

Hold the volume button until it shuts off. You also need to disable "screen saver" otherwise you get a clock

From Home Screen you hit the three lines on the upper left and display off.

It's a lot easier to just push and hold the volume button for 3 seconds
