In this video, Koifish will attempt to use Diplomacy and Dynasty Building strategies to restore the dwindling Karling Dynasty! That includes all of the Cadet houses as well! In reality, Count Herbert did not pass the land to his son, but rather to his son-in-law, King Philip's brother, Prince Hugues, who was married to Adela, Herbert's daughter. This created the cadet house of Vermandois. Unfortunately, Eudes, Adela's brother, was disinherited, and that marked the end of the story for that Karling house. It's sad to see, but it does happen to the best of us.

Like a stupid number (I know people make fun of Loius for there bring a lot of Louis but in history it was super common to name your son after yourself. My step dad's family is basically all Michael's going back to the 13th century, it's wild)

I actually did this one myself recently. Stayed French and catholic throughout the playthrough. Ended up mending the Schism before restoring Rome and then just let it run until 1453

There should be an achievement and decision by taking out the Karlings in the 867 start date. I practically conquer Europe or the Steppe. I do it with a Serer custom character every time I play or conquer the Maygars and then move them to Britannia and help the conquer it all.
