Yo Riders I hope all is well and thats my very quick thoughts on the Levo SL!! Any Questions just ask!

Fantastic reviews and show-case as always sir. I'm thinking you could get the same traction or better if the rear is 27.5 x 2.8 on wheel with 31.5 inner diameter with tire insert. What do you think?

Going to have to try this on my Levo, since I smashed my rear wheel today - a stick ripped out two spokes and half of the valve 😳. But... very excited to try this now. On my Trek Rail I love the mullet.

Thanks Sam I’ve been looking forward to this test and I think on those trails your right about your conclusion I think specialized have missed a trick with the sl format The bike we were really waiting for was the specialized levo evo sl not the kenvo sl The stumpy evo is such a great fun bike and much better suited to the sl treatment rather than the enduro 👊
@SamsBikes3 жыл бұрын
Yea I’ve been testing the Kenevo SL and I really didn’t want to like it but it’s a lot of fun. This week I’m testing both Levo SL and kenevo SL and just see if the kenevo is boring on trail trails. Let’s see

Well done, I like the format. I'm thinking the SL works just fine as a 29er, considering how light and agile it already is. My guess is that the mullet set up makes more sense on bigger FF bikes where the extra agility/playfulness is more noticeable.
@SamsBikes3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! Yep totally SL is better with the short chainstay and 29er but full fat 💯 mullet for the win

Hola Sam, Que Pasa, I lived in benalmadena for nearly 5 years 200-2005, love and miss SPain! Love your vids, have a 21 Leo SL and have tried a few things recently to liven the bike up a bit. Ive gone to a 35mm stem, 170mm Lyrik Ultimates, added a Fox Float X with a 55mm stroke and then a 27.5 rear and have to say I'm really loving the bike now. No more bum bum buzz, faster steering and better turning in tighter turns.. With the extra stroke on the shock and the flip chip in high the geo seems pretty well balanced, even with the 170 fork. I must say that Ive not noticed at all that the rear is skittish as you found and wonder if thats to do with there being a little more weight on the rear with the longer fork.. not sure, I've run it in rock, dirt over hard and loam and the rear feels really really good... My only dilema now is should I buy the Kenevo SL as it really seems like I've almost built one out of my Levo SL. Keep the great vids coming....

luv the effort big man getting the flip chip idea not getting the moving up to 160 travel thought this bike was 150 how to mate going to give the mullet a try cheers

i think taking a couple weeks to get comfy on the mullet would be a better yardstick for comarison.

I'm leaving my sl alone. I just did a mullet on my full fatty levo, can't wait to try it out on trails, it does manual and wheelie easier

How does this shorten the wheelbase unless there is a adjustable dropout?
@SamsBikes3 жыл бұрын
Yep good point but from where the wheel touches the ground the wheel base has been shortened with the mullet set up.
@garethrobinson22753 жыл бұрын
@@SamsBikes It's probably not important but the wheelbase should stay the same when changing wheel sizes as it's basically axle to ae length?
@SamsBikes3 жыл бұрын
Maybe I’m wrong but the way I see it is the contact patch of a 29 wheel is bigger than a 27.5 so there for it will give you the feeling of a shorter wheelbase but your correct the wheels base from axel to axel would be the same. I hope that makes sense and this goes on feeling more than maths haha
