I really wish they offered this in the LX600 and with a more reasonable gas tank size. My LX570 has a 24.5 gallon tank, and I wish it was bigger. When you are going 80mph on the freeway, this and the older generation trucks are not going to get wildly different MPG's, so the excuse for down sizing tanks is non-sense. My LX570 on 35x11.5" AT tires will get ~17mpg hand calc'd at 80mph.
@DarthNeroКүн бұрын
Their real reason for downsizing the tank size was that there wasn’t any real demand against it. Most LX 470 & 570 owners only drive below the average miles driven per year. This translates fewer stops at the pump. The only way Toyota are going to increase the tank size is if enough people complain & it starts to affect sales.
@Jay-me7gwКүн бұрын
@@DarthNero They've done it in all their new trucks, not just the LX. The Land Cruiser is 17.9, Tacoma is 18.2, the 4Runner is 19, the GX550 is 21.1. Even the Sequoia is only 22.5. You can tell in this video when they look under the truck, its because of the hybrid system. The electric motor is like 10" thick and pushes the transmission back, which pushes the y-pipe of the exhaust back into the area where the tank would be. I seriously hope that no one plans on towing with any of these. My 2011 GX/5th gen 4Runner was 23 and my LX570 is 24.5. The 2G sequoia was 26.4.

Very frustrating to see how they lowered the fuel tank capacity to 17G. Typical Toyota move. Here in Canada/USA, we like going on longer backcountry trips. When you're low speed, under weight etc the fuel economy drops commensurately. This will result in only +/- 200-220miles of stress free range when overlanding. Insane they made that decision especially on the overtrail version.

Landrovers can do all of that and more😂. The approach angle with the front grill will not survive in Utah or any other terrain and cannot go through water
These test are ridiculous. Take it to the mall where it belongs. Get a jeep for off-road duty. But I’m sure Lexus bought your lunch.

@Jay-me7gw14 сағат бұрын
@@jonahparpart3690 correct. And then there is a center differential lock to put it in true part time 4x4. One of my favorite things about this transfer case is that you can put it in 4L without locking the center differential. Makes moving trailers around the yard super easy.

No differentiation between models. Using a single TNGA platform they base the 700, GX, and model 250 on the same thing. LC 250 gives you nothing but bare bones hard plastics everywhere. GX throws a few more upgraded materials and two more cylinders. 700 offers full upgraded trim for 120K and tunes for premium gas so they can boast it gets 20 more HP LOL. The entire platform is a gimmick. If anything all this streamlining should keep costs down. Instead we see huge price increases.

You shouldn’t use the lockers on this solid ground. This adds to much tension and can damage the drive shafts. The only part were you could use it was in the flex part. Also you shouldn’t steer this much on the hard ground with the front locker on. Your channel have a lot of reach so please be responsible and stop showing wrong stuff to people who can easily break the car with it. Unlikely to you they have to pay for this by himself. No offenes, I just saying.

I'm ok with the compromised rear storage, considering the benefits. Placing the battery in the passenger compartment increases reliability and longevity. These batteries do better when kept out of the extreme heat and cold as much as possible. It also allows for the excellent water fording ability. Did either of these hosers say this? Pfftff. No.
@Jay-me7gw14 сағат бұрын
But what is the benefit of the battery? There doesnt appear to be one since it doesnt improve efficiency or performance. It seems the hybrid system is mostly negative. Increased weight, increased price, increased complexity, reduced fuel tank size, and reduced cargo area. Those things all outweigh any minor benefits the iforce max system provides. This thing would be far more appealing without the hybrid system at all and a $5,000 reduction in price.

Why Americans put up with third rows that are claustrophobic and for children? There is no luggage space with the third row.
@Jay-me7gw14 сағат бұрын
Because this 3rd row is not meant for full time use. Its mean for random times where you need to carry more than 5 people. I remove the 3rd row from my LX570 until I need it, and then only usually put one of the seats back in.

I've got a '24 ZR2, that I'm adding the Bison Jounce dampers to, and going with a 1" lift instead of the 1/2" lift that comes with the kit, and will be fitting 35x11.5R17's on it.....for half the price of this. All in I figure I'll have $60,500 with all that and the new K03 (expensive!) tires. I considered a new Tacoma based on my great experience with my last Toyota (2010 RAV4 V6 AWD I put 212k miles on before a drunk totaled it), but the absurd pricing, and STILL no locker put an end to that. Oh, and then there's the exploding shocks issue...
