They may not have changed it, but common…real estate has shot up. Trump getting elected again would cause further real estate pricing surges.

Sounds like Rivian needs to partner up with another powerhouse like Apple. Chrysler combined with Stellantis (STLA) 3 years ago. Otherwise people going overboard.

He doesnt know about rivian at all. Find the artical about " Rivian Automotive Inc. plans to borrow as much as $15 billion of taxable bonds to help finance a manufacturing plant in Georgia"

Hello Travis - I appreciate your analysis but I think its too late to give an analysis such as this because you were very optimistic on Rivians future a few months back and were recommending it to keep an eye on. Price Rowe Associates bought 25 million shares of this company in december when the stock was around 18-20 dollars. Do you think they would make such a blunder in making an investment on this

He holds GM probably a portfolio bias there Rivian will survive and thrive not without risks though some of his risk analysis is legit

Nothing has changed ,people spread panic . People hear 42000 dollars loss in Q4 23 per vehicle but don’t see that the company reduced losses per vehicle end 22 to end 23 roughly 80000 dollars . Before that is was even way higher so progress is definitely there . . The increase of 12000 dollar loss from Q3 to Q4 23 is only because Amazon didn’t buy any EDV 's due to their Christmas busy time . In Q1 those sales will show again . Company closing in Q2 24 will reduce costs 85 percent. 10‘percent less workforce will reduce costs additionally . There is also more revenue income thru software updates ,charging network and more . .. Amazon holds 20 percent on Rivian . Even if they need any more money to the road of R2 production they will receive it because their products are by far better then most of the competition By the way when Tesla started ;internet was full of them getting bankrupt . Now CW predicts stock being on average 7000 24 💤💤💤

Apple can guy them. 330 mile range is sick! Just the breakout needed with EVs. This or some gas hog getting less than 20 miles per gallon. The hold up is charging these things. Is there a way to charge EVs on 120 volts??? I swear, charging is the biggest issue.

I don't think the 5bn capex is due in one lump sum rather it will be phased out. Agreed though on balance this is on a tightrope just like Tesla in its early days.

Yes, it will be spent over time. Capex guidance for 2024 is $2 billion.

Now…if Rivian and other EV manufacturers were able to offer a FINANCED home electrical conversion through a 3rd party, then people would buy them. Getting a 220 volt line to the garage is the hangup. Solve this and EVs can soar!!!

I am so so so so so optimistic about Rivian. Rivian is so fantastic. R2 is gonna be a big improvement. And a nice sedan eventually would make Rivian boom more and more🔥 I recommend to Elon Musk that he supports Rivian and Lucid cuz they will support him electrifying cars otherwise if Tesla is the only EV, rumors about EVs may kill Tesla. I like to think long-term and win-win😉
