52:42 give him our blessing? For what? Thank you Trent, for running down your contract and leaving your boyhood club in your prime years and making sure that your boyhood club doesn’t get a transfer fee out of you. What a load of nonsense. I don’t have a problem with him leaving. I have a problem with him leaving FOR FREE.

So those owners had nothing to do with it I absolutely can tell you no big club owners would allow this situation with 3 best players bayern Munich, madrid Chelsea bayern Munich Barcelona. small time owners like fsg have put us in this position. Also if we are honest even if they all left for free if we knew we had owners that would do what's required to replace these players we wouldn't care about the money.

@@adi5962 it's very common for players to sign a contract extension under the condition they are sold in the summer in order to net their club a transfer sum, which will be huge as a homegrown player for PSR. In fact, it would guarantee his move.

There are 2 sides to Trent and any contract - business and loyalty. Fine if he wants to leave for some other team for more money and the new challenge. The other issue is in the eyes of the fans is he would be hanging Liverpool out to dry IF HE LEAVES ON A FREE. If the home town Scouser can’t work it to at least help the club out so they can get a transfer fee after being his club since 6 - that’s why people that are upset, are upset. Also - if this is James’ last time on the channel I’d be more than happy for that. WTF - ‘Maybe Slot doesn’t fancy Trent’?!?!? Crazy

No, if Trent leaves for free it's over for me, it'd be worse than Owen at least as I see it. If he wanted to leave he'd get a mandatory release clause in a short contract at a very reasonable fee and leave next year or this summer. At this point he will basically pocket most of his market value for himself (as a signing-on bonus), the money we'd use to replace him when he knows we already have holes to fill soon, fuck that. And if he thinks he's gonna go down as a legend in Madrid as a defender or be a Ballon D'or winner as a defender, he's got another thing coming lol

Losing a Virg or Mo at the end of the season would be a far bigger hole to fill over Trent but I could swallow it. It’s completely different with Trent. He has folded and given up for us loads unlike the other two and I would never want him as captain or on 300k with his character record. 3. He is a specialist in his position but his stats are in decline 4. He’s far more injury prone in his early twenties to now than mo and vvd ever have been. 5. We have margin to make up with a better defensive RB it’s not like we are losing the complete full back.

Aside from issues such as when they tried to increase ticket prices in the main stand and slyly entered negotiations for a super league (both of which were abandoned after massive protest from fans), I’ve never had a major issue with FSG. They’ve been good custodians of the club, built two fantastic new stands, a world class training centre and rather than spend over the odds on average players have put the right people in place to identify talent that has brought just about every major honour to the club. However, this is where their purse-strings need to loosen. We simple cannot allow three world class players leave for nothing.

I wasn't too worried about losing Trent once we figured out Slot prefers a more defensive minded but I've been reading and watching stuff by Analytics focused people and they all say in modern football having Elite Wingbacks is CRUCIAL for real reliable success. They give you that edge against the best teams and Trent is inarguably the best wingback in world football. Now I think we should just give him the £275-300k a week but demand a 4-5 year contract so in 3 years time we can sell him if necessary, which would cover all those wages anyway so it'd be effectively keeping him for free for 3 years.

The hype is mental. Yes, he's been better at defending this season. But he still gets skinned every time he plays. I've been to Anfield and he doesn't run back. Slot spends a lot of time screaming at him, just like Klopp did. He also rolls his eyes at his bench when Trent misplaces a pass. Trent got 7GA for us last year. Seven! If Conor Bradley got 3 or 4, his defending makes him a superior right back. Seven GA and average defending. That's what we have in reality. And for all those saying he's a great defender... Tell me you wouldn't lick your lips in the CL Final when Diaz is running at him. It would be blue murder. Or ex-red murder. No one can tell fans how to think and behave. Football is primal to us. If he goes, his reputation and legacy are shattered and a huge portion of the fanbase will boo him when he receives the ball. Especially leaving to that soulless club who we literally just battered from pillar to post. WITHOUT Trent playing, may I add. If he had played, guess who Madrid would have targeted. Instead, we have an iconic image of Conor Bradley flying into MBappe. Trent would have been looking from a distance. Smirking at the media like he did just makes him a bellend as well. None of this is being handled well and Slot will have to answer Trent questions now for the rest of the season.

Trent will be another player at Madrid, if he stays he could potentially be lifting trophies for us as captain. We want players who want to be at the club. Look at how Virg and Mo have performed this year, they seem to have gone up a level. The fact that Trent thinks he can be the best player in the world makes me think he’s spent too much time with Bellingham. Gravenberch showed him up a few weeks ago. If the club were…smart, they’d offer him a deal with a buy-out clause and then he can see how much Madrid want him. Ultimately allowing this to all happen when a new manager is trying to figure out his first season is wild. If Trent goes on a free I’m sure fans won’t forgive him rather than pointing the fingers at the owners. Let’s not forget the club will always be bigger than any one player. Up the reds.

Can they dominate 2025? Simple answer; yes, yes they can. However, with the main talks being about contracts of some of Liverpool's best players with being in all competititons still, theres always a chance that certain players can have months long injuries just by an odd challenge from a player beinh overworked. Lets say if Van Dijk gets a serious injury that would eliminate him from the rest of the season, that would make things extremely difficult. Quansah is not nearly even trustworthy enough of a CB to win titles with, the guy chokes in big moments CONSTANTLY. If Salah gets injured itll be hard to remove his goal contributions. If Jota gets injured again theres no No9 since Slot has clearly lost trust of Nunez(maybe rightfully so). Trent would be annoying but when bradley comes back he would be good fit again. Gravenberch... if he gets injured it may be done he's the backbone in midfield

why has The Redmen TV just turned into a mouth piece for FSG seems to me ever since redmen got there ''access'' they dont want to call out the club for what is going on because if they do they dont want to lose there ''access'' to player interviews, press conferences ect. lets be honest its the clubs fault that we are sitting here with trent, mo and virgil being in the last 6 months of there contract however at least Salah and Virgil want to stay and come out publicly however trent hasn't done that as you can tell he wants to Madrid, Trent stays quiet cause he has no respect for his boyhood club and its that simple, a year ago he was talking about ''it means more to win trophies with Liverpool'' and how '' i want to captain the club one day'' yet he is flirting with madrid and not coming out stating whether if he is going or staying. in my mind he has tainted his legacy at the club and he will soon realise at madrid a couple of mistakes he will get replaced and be booed by the madrid fans as they wont have any love for him like Liverpool fans do, call this out for god sake its a joke how tip toeing the company line

FFS get to brass tacks this is about cash, wage structure and market value. FSG wants to spend around 250k per week on Trent tops. Might be forced to shell out an extra 100 k on those wages to match his market value. It is quite that simple. Why all the dancing in the head of a pin.

Is Mo on Suarez first half 13/14 level?
@DreamLurker32
@DreamLurker32 2 күн бұрын
he has 11 more goal contributions than games played so far this season, luis suarez had 9 more goal contributions than games played for liverpool in 2013-2014 season and he already has the same number of assists as saurez in the premier league that season and has 2 more assists than luis in total. so yeah, if he carried on, with winning epl or epl and ucl, this would be his best season and better than suarez 2013-2014 season but i guess some people will still like saurez and think his 2013-2014 season was special because of how good he was and the type of goals he scored.

Not in terms of performances but in pure numbers, probably.

@@DreamLurker32 I love this! For me, Suarez at the end of 13 was one the most impressive form from a Liverpool player ever. I looked it up and he scored 10 goals in 4 games in December of 13. The fact that Mo has better numbers then Suarez shows how incredible he is playing at the moment. I'm always cautious of having recency bias so I loved your comment.

@@ph8077 yeah but if the numbers are way superior to saurez's numbers come the end of the 2024-2025 season, then we are going to have to admit it is a better season. now the differences is not too big, so i guess saurez performance level gives him the edge, but if Mohamed salah's stats at the end of the season are like 50-60+ goals and assists with winning the epl, it is a different story.

Trent will stay, the Real Madrid Telegraph is just shit stirring. If he'd made a decision to leave we wouldn't be hearing it from them first.

Thing is if he wanted to stay he'd have signed already, I don't think money is the motivation for him so the only other explanation is he wants to leave. Hope I'm wrong but it's felt that way for a couple of months now.

I think if he goes to a team we've already beaten this season and are 19 places below us for a pile of cash, he's a money grabbing little Judas rat, who shouldn't be allowed back in the city.

I have a problem with how this has all come about, but thats just as much on the club. Anyone who says they would hate Trent for going or is giving him abuse for it is an absolute idiot. Yeah, he won't be seen as big a legend as the likes of Gerrard if he goes, that's fine, but he should not be hated in any way for leaving if he does. We should only be disappointed, plus unhappy that it's on a free.

I think a lot has been exaggerated about Robertsons struggles this season. His miscontrol/loss of concentration last night just compounds that lack of confidence in him though?. Was it me or did Van Dijk refuse to pass to him for about 10 minutes after? 🤣. Quansah seemed to exude confidence last night,very assured on the ball 💪🏻. Look forward to see him against Utd 🧘🏻‍♀️.

I would happily say goodbye to Virgil, Trent and Salah and make Bradley, Gomez and Doke first team regulars. Save the club 800k per week. I hate the greed.
