Chris, footballing legacy & their actions outside the pitch cannot be separated. Football is not rational, there's too much emotion involved. I don't necessarily think Trent has decided. This whole idea that he indicated to Real Madrid interest and that's why they came in for him, does that necessarily mean he's leaving? Love you Chloe. You remind me of me when I was your age. I’ve had my heart broken too many times because players I loved left the club. I was inconsolable when Rushie left and went to Juve. Like Chris I was gutted when God left, for Leeds. Fuckin’ Leeds. Now I’m in my 50’s my feelings are somewhat numbed but I would be really disappointed if Trent left for Madrid. About Salah. I've always said that if Salah was to leave soon, he'll be going to PSG. He won't go to Saudi in the next 3 years, the level isn't good enough. The only club who could match that money in Europe is PSG, AND he's been seen meeting with their owners as well. PSG desperately need a marquee signing to replace Messi/Neymar/Mbappe... Salah is the biggest signing possible... AND he's still in Europe being competitive. I think it's the only place he'd go.

Regarding Trent's legacy, he will greatly enhance it by helping us win the Prem and CL. Regardless, if he leaves, for me, he's still more Steve McManaman than Stevie G. There's no way the club will sell him in January, unless Real offer silly money (say £60m). Real are obviously *desperate* for a RB and they know they will weaken their biggest current European rivals by taking Trent now. If Trent wants to leave in the summer, that's one thing. Leaving now would be a massive own goal from LFC's perspective, and I don't think Edwards and Hughes will let that happen. All hell will break loose if they do. Love Chloe. Couldn't have said it better myself, it's the experience of watching these players that make them legends. While she was speaking I thought of Endo immediately. These players will be remembered as legends regardless how much they win or don't, if they don't turn out good enough we'll sell them with our blessings and remember them fondly.
