About the game:
Instruments of Destruction features an advanced physics-based destruction system. You can demolish every structure in the game piece by piece. In addition, every object you see in the game world--save for small decorative plants and rocks--is part of the physics system. The thing in the video they provided is a Vapor Cone. Contrails are just a byproduct of normal jet engines at high altitude.

I'm really digging Scrapman as well as Instruments of Destruction. Started playing IoD very early as well, it's awesome to play through all the updates. One of my creations was once in a showcase episode, that was also pretty sweet. Hope Scrap keeps enjoying making such videos, love the faces he makes.

Hay Scrapman can't afford this, But I feel surprised you have not tested the power of the wedge in the front of your vehicle to see if cutting the air would drive you perhaps in to the ground more, just testing if a wedge would affect any unseen aerodynamics. I really enjoy your innovative touch. Also canons + thrust = ?

The game doesn't have aerodynamics only gravity currently so a wedge wouldn't do anything.

Make tires slippery, and they won't flip you the second you power them, and you can build up to max speed slowly

You can also attach grappling hooks to your own creation and spam retract them to go more than 2000km/h.

In IoD, are there attachment points on the outside of the wheels? Im just thinking like Scrap Mechanic. If you stepped the size of the tires up as you add them outward, should give you a lot more speed if so..

unfortunatly no, but you can build your own wheels and make them pretty decent if you use a few tricks.

There was an early glitch where you could use a ton of bomb cannons and hit the corner of a building to go infinitely fast and crash your game XD

Probs cause those thrusters were going against the vehicle's mouvement, hence reducing its speed

SCRAPMAN. I request that you make a jackhammer sonic boom maker thingy. Using the cannons to propell it up and down. Look at the way your cannon creation was making the sonic booms on the ground at the end I think this idea has potential

scrapman you should have tried breaking the sound barrier with gravity/going up then speeding straight down because if you reached the sonic boom speed before you hit the ground then when you do hit the ground the shockwave effect would act like a sonic boom. missed opportunity bud. still great vid though

So you know how with your super fast gun planes in trailmakers? 400 isn't the max, with the mini cannons mounted directly behind in a 4, 6, 6, 4 pattern, I could achieve 650 comfortably, but going past that they would then be overcome.by speed and shoot themselves. So the max velocity achievable with gun power is around 666 kmph.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you stack the servos for the wheels. I saw that you only used one for each wheel, but, in theory, couldn't you just stack them over and over?

I think you missed a possible option, gears. Wheels and rotors may not have enough speed by themselves, but it looks like an rpm cap, so what if you had gear ratio change torque for rpm?

I did the calculations and if you were in that rocket vehicle you would feel 39 G's worth of acceleration... for reference astronauts feel about 3 G's on takeoff and some Pilots can pull off 9 G's in certain Jets only one G of what would be counted as lethal... here's your little daily dose of physics 😀😀😀
