Put a 4x4 down on the bed so the front tire rests against it. That will push the bike back 3-1/2”.

You shouldn't be compressing the suspension when transporting bikes

Yes, front forks typically are compressed some while transported.

@@TwoWheelTurbanmost people do. But you shouldn’t. That’s why they sell a piece to go between you tire and the under side of the handle bar assembly. This keep the suspension form compressing. The. You can tighten your straps without the bike going down and contacting the truck with the fender. This fixes both the problem you have and the one you didn’t know you had

If someone made a quick release front fender hardware kit it would be a decent solution. Nothings bolted to the fender so should be doable

Would like to see it put in sideways and strapped to the foot pegs. Thats how id transport my bike.
