Achieving infrastructure like China's requires a blend of vision, innovation, and commitment. I went to one of Shenzhen China’s amazing locations to show you the reality! I hope this can pave the way for a brighter, more connected future.
There are similar infrastructures and buildings like this in Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing and many other cities across China.

The biggest difference I find why China is able to build amazing Civic Infrastructures and provide amazing Civic Services is the government. Not so much the TYPE of Government, but the Politicians that form the government. In China, over 70% of the Government is formed by Engineers (like President Xi), Mathematicians, and Scientist, who, when faced with a civic problem, can immediately work out and implement solutions. Now compare that with USA's government, where over 70% of the are Corporate Lawyers. Corporate Lawyers are NOT going to solve problems, they just write laws and fill in contracts. A Corporate Lawyer, with any improvement, will check out all the Corporations that may be affected. Then they work out ways to compensation Profit Losses (they still make profits, but may have a slight reduction in profits while development occurs). Then the corporate lawyers need to work out financial compensations of profit loses and pay the Corporations TAX PAYERS money. If that can't be achieved, then Corporate Lawyers look at implement NEW LAWS to safe guard the Corporations affected by the new development. Basically, a government loaded with Corporate Lawyers seek out the well being of Corporations first, and NOT the well being of their citizens first ... Citizens come AFTER Corporates issues have been fixed and compensated for.

Shenzhen is a special city, from a fishing village to an international metropolis in 40 years, while the old-school big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Chengdu, these cities still have old urban areas, and even some deliberately preserved old buildings, which in some people's eyes is like painting black on clean white paper. In the city where I live, I accidentally found that there was still a house made of mud, hidden in a forest of reinforced concrete, I took my child to see it, pointing to it and saying: "Look, 30 years ago your father, I, was born in such a house." Most Chinese people have nostalgic plot, only by facing up to the poverty once, can we cherish today's wealth.

No west couldn’t compete with china for sure, democratic system makes it more difficult to execute future infrastructure plans. High cost on labor, materials, state regulations, war monger etc, those are the main problems in the west. That is why US doesn’t even have a single bullet train. Many building are old and most of them need special treatment, such as New york subway system. I dont see any major improvement for the last 15 years in US.

I thought of a very interesting thing. In Chinese, the words "public(公共)" and "public side(公家)" have a certain sacred or authoritative meaning.More often than not, some public institutions are prefixed with "people". For Chinese people, public interest is more important than private interest. Maintaining public interest is naturally the right thing to do. No matter for what reason to destroy it, it will be condemned from all sides. This is not just defined by law, but is constrained by a higher level of morality. I have seen public places in many countries, and it is clear that many people take pleasure in destroying them. This is where I find it interesting. If in a society, there are people who take pleasure in destroying public property, and most people turn a blind eye, then what is wrong with this society?

Let me tell you why USA can not acheive this project: the whole budget of this station is 7 billion RMB (about 1 billion USD), which is LESS than the half value of one B-2 bomer (2.4 billion USD). No one can benefit from those big infrustructure except the common people, that's the Wall Street and Military Industrial composite controlled country have no willing to do. That also explains why west media which controlled by those power defame China frequently regardless of their falure.

It is not easy for Western and African countries to replicate China's model of infrastructure construction. 1. The issue of land ownership, China's land ownership is different from many countries. Simply put, land ownership belongs to the government. The resistance encountered during land acquisition and construction will not be as great as in the United States and the United Kingdom. The power of the government is very, very great. The local government in China is essentially led by the party secretary of the region. The Party Secretary has the right to vote on government personnel appointments, regional development plans, and all major and minor matters. Therefore, local leaders will not be constrained by intra party and regional forces. They can focus on development without worrying about elections (because he is only appointed by superiors, and his promotion as the leader first depends on his political achievements: economic development). 3. Because the appointment of officials is not restricted by the wealthy wealthy in the region (China is not a democratic universal suffrage, so the wealthy cannot control elections, and direct corruption is also difficult in China because collusion between officials and businessmen can quickly deplete your political future. Disciplinary inspection committees have a considerable amount of means to investigate officials with problems (they are very cruel and strict towards corrupt officials), and can focus on regional development and construction with peace of mind, Improve one's own political achievements. 4. The complete industrial chain requires hundreds or thousands of enterprises and industries to create and maintain the power systems required for trains, train tracks, and trains. If you want to build a high-speed rail line in a country without a good international environment, it is very difficult. Seamless steel rails, power systems, and these difficulties can easily get stuck in the entire project and cannot be implemented. And China is able to complete these tasks solely through its own industrial production, without being constrained by foreign companies or governments, which is also the reason why China's infrastructure engineering is efficient (in many countries, standard building steel cannot be produced, and in the face of a large demand for construction steel, foreign products can only be purchased at a high price. If local distributors use monopolies to sit on the ground and raise prices, the project progress can only be delayed repeatedly). 5. There is a high degree of ideological, cultural and political unity. China has no huge religious differences. Although residents in different regions differ in culture, they all agree that they are the Chinese nation (the Xizang Xinjiang issue has been solved, but Taiwan has no substantive management). In India, it is difficult to say such a situation. Some people are Muslims, while others are Hindus. Politicians use intensifying crowd conflicts to get votes for themselves. Politically, after the revolution of the last century, the Communist Party has always been a substantive manager, and power has always been concentrated in the hands of communists, without the constraints of other parties and forces. In most countries with universal suffrage, such conditions are not available, so it is common for policies to change with the party. In terms of ideology, most people just want to make money and live a better life, rather than launching wars, participating in various political activities, or committing crimes. If someone is lazy or has the idea of committing a crime, they will face various accusations and discrimination at various levels of society. In the United States, some people who join gangs may even feel proud and think that drug use can be cool. The above five points are not complete, just a glimpse of the truth, throwing a brick to attract jade

One major obstacle that Western countries face is that their governments are *too weak* to push forward their infrastructure agenda. Public protests against infrastructure projects can hinder the government. Political opposition can hinder the government. The government may be unable to raise the financial resources through tax revenue and borrowing. The government may have no money to improve education and housing and health care. All these things enable the people to work.
