@@howridiculous Great Paper Jets is a book for great Paper airplanes to build. The key is using thicker paper such as what is used in those folders or index cards. PS: The P-80 Shooting Star and Gloster Meteor had some of the better flight characteristics.

Suggestion: Get a vortex with a go-pro mount on the front (theres 3d printing files for it), throw it off of high things and then stabilize the footage afterwards to counter the spinning. Makes for some cool bullet-like footage. It'd be awesome to see those dropped from the tower, thrown off of dams and chucked out of helicopters!

When it comes to things like the paper planes, you shouldn't really measure by target, but by flight time. The winner should be whoever's plane stays airborne the longest. It's really impossible to get them to stay on target at that kind of distance. Once its out of your hands, it's at the mercy of even the barest breath of wind.

@@howridiculous If you can get a good average on how "fast" it flies, you can use that and the flight-time to figure out how much distance it actually covered, even if it didn't go to the target. . I'm pretty sure a couple of those, had they gone perfectly straight, could've gotten close to the other end of the field. . edit: I'm sorry, Jack can figure it out for you guys. lol

The planes were all made with a flat top, giving them a T shape. You need to give them Y shapes with a slight angle on the wings. The plane at 14:38 had it and it flew much better.
