I have been wondering if those multi process welders really can do everything. Great job of showcasing all the bells and whistles. Looks like a great fit for the weekend warrior, artist or student just getting started.

I was skeptical with the lesser known welding companies coming out with a multiprocessor in the beginning but as the technology has improved, some are very good like this YES MP200.

Been seeing those cheap Yes welders on Amazon. I considered a Yes plasma cutter but I was afraid they were junk so I splurged for a Forney. But I see here that they are not too bad!

@@4AM_DJ dude the duty cycle on my Forney 270 mig and my 210 mig which I had first, are pretty much on par with my Lincoln Idealarc 250 and my old Millermatic 250 I used to have. I have 3 Forney welders and I have never tripped the cycle. I have tripped it on my Forney plasma but that is after about 4 minutes of solid trigger pull cutting 1/2 inch. I own everything from Harbor Freight to a Trailblazer 250 portable and a couple of high end Lincolns and I am fast becoming a Forney fan. Heck our local Miller dealer, James Oxygen Supply is slowly dropping Miller for Forney. I am not saying Forney is the best but they are right there at the top these days. I always thought Miller made the best portable and Lincoln made the best shop welders but Forney is coming on fast!

@timberslasher4899 Makes sense since their parts are made from USA and Europe. If it was cheap Chinese BS, then I can see those forneys getting a negative reputation

The Forney plasma cutters I was looking at for a friend who seemed to like the brand were of a similar price to hypertherm machines but I would find it hard to believe that they even hold a candle to a machine of equivalent amperage from hypertherm in terms of features, longevity, or cutting capacity. Anyone with experience using both machines please correct me if I am wrong, I ended up looking into everlast plasma cutters and am currently considering purchasing one, again any feedback on all of this would certainly be appreciated.

Hey brother. Just got my MP200. Never welded. Have no idea what air compressor to use for plasma. Not budgeted for a large, expensive air compressor. I will be cutting and welding up to 10ga, or thinner, carbon and 304 stainless steel. Can I use a 2hp, 20gal, 5CFM@90psi compressor? What compressor are you using? Please suggest a model that would be adequate. Thanks

Wow, this is amazing. I'm going to buy one now after seeing your totally unbiased and clearly unscripted review. I am convinced that it is the welder for me if I'm a beginner just looking to get into a new hobby or a serious professional who relies on one tough machine that really can do it all. Thank the heavens we have you here too give us the straight, unvarnished truth. And such a non-generic, edgy, and authentic sound track. Does my new welder come with this audio cassette so I can supercharge my welding experience? You are the best!! Lol!!!!! PS I need to weld and plasma cut at the same time too!!!

I have an MP200. My only struggle is getting the kind of results you showed there with the plasma cutting feature. What air pressure settings were you using? And, how do I know when it's time to change the consumables?
@sawbladeheaddesigns2451
@sawbladeheaddesigns2451 Жыл бұрын
i’m running around 90psi. As far as the consumables, once your air pressure is correct and your amperage then you should start seeing and felling the torch cut smoothly. If it’s “spitting” or if the cut is “messy” then check those consumables. Consumables will last when you have the right air pressure, amperage and properly prepping the material. Cutting dirty or painted material will decrease the life of the consumables.

It may work for some people, but I can do without the headbanger music. I've seen multiple ads for these machines and they look pretty good. The drawback for me is that that are made in China, so I will pass. PS: E7018 is not a cellulosic flux rod. It is an iron powder filled flux rod and is used as a "low hydrogen rod". It also has a lower penetration than the E6010 cellulosic rods.

Honestly, it's super easy to add a 220 circuit to a breaker box. I've done it in two homes, in little time. If you are at all interested in welding as a hobby, stop trying to limp by with 110.

Really? First, I don't take welder advice from rockers. Second, any welder/plasma cutter combo will eventually die a premature death. I don't care what brand of welder you are talking about, but plasma is too different a process and machines that combine these two processes always fail. And third, Yeswelder is the cheapest crap you can buy. How much are they paying you for this infomercial? Wow...please bring back some real welders like Redbeard or Bob Moffat.
@anotherdena
@anotherdena Жыл бұрын
To be clear...you don't take advice from someone who has been welding for decades because that person likes rock music and probably has more hair than you? You sound very important. I would follow your channel, but I don't see any videos on it.
@rbelang8331
@rbelang8331 Жыл бұрын
That pretty much sounds like what I think... I find it very suspicious that an experienced welder push the selling of a cheap machine like that... Redbeard, Moffat, Mr Tig, Man Cub, Mr Brown, those were the ones to give us good advices... Probably Mr Sawblade too, when he's not doing infomercials...
@sawbladeheaddesigns2451
@sawbladeheaddesigns2451 Жыл бұрын
Well to clarify, this is far from an informercial. This was a real world yet just scratching the surface on this product. My opinion and reaction to how this machine worked was “not paid for”. I had a lot of fun and was impressed on how well it performed. Will it still perform well for the next 20years like my old Lincoln SP100? Time will tell, but in the meantime I stand but what I said and what I created while using this machine.

Deep thoughts: 1) How does a business stay in business if it does not generate revenue? Deep thoughts: 2) How do welders learn about new products and check out peer reviews? Deep thoughts: 3) How many hours does any host spend making a video for free? (I'll answer that one for ya: Zero)
@jhitt79

@@anotherdena1) it depends on their business model. Is this a welding channel or an advertising agency? 2) what review??? 3) the video would make KZbin ad revenue so your question doesn’t make sense.
