Thanks for the information on the MP200, I've got an old Miller wire welder that is going down the road so I can get more functions with less space. I've been waiting to see some reviews after using over time. This made up my mind.

Brother I wanta say thanks for all your hard work informing the rest of us... What size inverter generator would suggest for a mobile application? I have a champion 10,000/9,000 inverter I was told I couldn't use that small of a generator for the Yeswelder MP200. Any thoughts?

Well, I don't know who told you that but but I call BS. I used a 6,500/5,500 and didn't seem to have any trouble, though I was not burning a full 200 amps out of the welder either. Here is the way I figure it. Watts is calculated voltage X amps = watts. Your generator has a running wattage of 9,000 watts (9K) with a peak of 10K. Using the heaviest application, the welder runs on a 240V, 30Amp circuit. Do the math and it works out to 240V X 30A = 7,200 Watts. That is running the welder at full power. I was welding at about140 amps when I used my generator and was using the 110V circuit which was no problem for the generator. 110Vx20A=2,200 Watts. I would say your Champion 10,000/9,000 should be fine, especially if you are only using 110V. Use the 240 plug and you will certainly make the generator work but it should handle it. Just my opinion, for what it's worth, and I am no expert. Thanks for watching.

@@davidedgerly The only problem you might have is the 220 socket on your generator. It is probably different from the plug on the welder. Also the amps on the 220 socket may or may not be 30A. I have no experience with that generator. I use the 110 socket on my generator because the 220 socket is different and I didn't want to build or buy an adapter.

@@jackofalltrades7822 So I found the adapter on amazon for 17 bucks... @ lowes and homedepot... the very same one is either 65 to 72 bucks... total rip off... I'll update you as soon as I get welding and let you know how it works...

What air compressor are you using with your MP200 plasma cutter? What is the max psi and cfm of that compressor?

The machine runs cold vs what it displays. At 200 amps display it maxes out at 170 amps. Around 100 amps and lower it runs 10 amps colder than what it displays. As long as you know this you can work with it's limitations. I got my machine at the kickstarter price under $600 and I know how Chinese companies work, their claims and what you really get are too different things. I was expecting 60-70% of their claims and that is where it landed. If you are paying their current $1k price tag and expecting to getting 200 amps, your gonna be disappointed.

Everything up till 10:30 really blew me away. At 10:30 I remembered why I’m going to welding school. NEVER weld rust or paint. Not only are you putting carcinogens into your body you are letting them spread to your community. A pregnant mother, a child, a wife, a son, all of these people just going about there business could be at risk. This is in no way meant as a personal attack. Of course you wouldn’t want to do that to someone who would? You are an amazing man for sharing this video and all of your other videos!!!
