For reference, Pokémon Sword and Shield use the Hall of Fame leitmotif very prominently across the soundtrack, because the League is so important to the game! That's what we call "theming", baby.

Also, bear in mind what you see on the title screen, where that version's from: your championship team. It plays the Hall of Fame theme because that's what it is. (For the people who aren't up to date, pre league it's just an empty stadium. If there's one thing I can appreciate about recent Pokémon games, it's the evolving (hah!) title screens.)

Training again for Tarvould’s Quest? Note this was made before knowing Tarvould showed up in chat and asked that same question. I just couldn’t think of anything else since “VGM” is so wide a net compared to Sonic or Mega Man or even Nintendo and I also didn’t want to just insult the quizmaker for using so many dang ambient tracks that don’t fit the game’s musical identity otherwise.

don't worry you only had 1/16 chance to guess Final Fantasy X. It could've been worse, we could've counted Tactic's, remakes/spin-off's, Chocobo series, Dissida, or even World of FF. xD

The only reason I knew it was Mega Man X3, rather than other MMX games, is remembering the song fading out in game because Zero's about to take control.

17:37 : I misheard and thought he said "Rain World". And that type of quiz is hard because there are a lot of video games and we don't have the time to play all of them. Compared to people who watch anime and quizzes about openings, I think it's more easy to recognize openings from shows you didn't watch because you are more likely to hear them at random.

He pauses around 15:14 on a song... even that fraction of a second was enough to know it was MMX3's opening stage. Same for Skies of Arcadia's intro (though he didn't pause there). They sound so unique and memorable they're instantly recognizable (even though I prefer MMX3's Playstation soundtrack over the SNES).

Of all the games on the list, I've played celeste and didn't finish it and I've completed Ori and FFX multiple times each. I got those 3. I've also played undertale, but I didn't get that one. The rest I haven't even played
