I purchased one and I love it. I got an extra battery. It handles great. I got saddlebags for it. I ordered an extra battery. The only thing I would change is hydraulic disk brakes rather than mechanical disk brakes.

You need to rig up a backrest on the "child seat" . For inspiration, see "harley passenger backrest" .

What's your opinion on hub motor versus mid drive motor? (I'm especially wondering about it in a tricycle as I get older.) Thanks.
@denoftools Жыл бұрын
I think the hub drive is the best bang for the buck.

Ave you found a solid ebike hitch rack for a decent price. Lookimg for one that holds more than one bike

Also the bike trailer I bought for $100 and it folds down for storage but you had to buy a different hookup for the bike because the original was to flimsy.

Just one little note here. That particular Shimano drivetrain is NOT e-bike rated like some of their drivetrains are. It's common for cheaper manufacturers to cut corners in this area for ebikes that legitimate you bike manufacturers don't. That drivetrain will wear out significantly faster than an e-bike rated version due to the torque distributed over time. If you're not planning on riding this bike a lot it's probably fine but if you are then you are going to face higher maintenance costs and shawano will not give any support because it is not being used properly.

You must a stock in these electric vehicles, I have seen to many videos showing them catching fire with in 3 miles of testing it, the person said they paid close to $7,000 and only got 3 miles and it became a boodfire. They sat back and watched it burn than another person had their ebike in the living room and almost lost his life. They need to do more safety studies and have better shutoffs incase there is an emergency. The one bike almost blew up under the operator and the other person was in another room when it started burning.

I love how you see one person having an issue or hear stories no nothing literally nothing about what caused it but that’s what you feel. The true story is. 🤣 you probably also support the war in Ukraine.

Whatever the merits, or lack thereof, it has nothing to do with Ukraine. I am against Putins invasion.

Have you went up any serious hills with weight on it? I have a ½ mile 4% stretch by my house that is a real trudge on my electric scooter.
@Bigdog1787 Жыл бұрын
750w can do hills fine I use ebikes daily with a trailer that I hall about 100 pounds on. Going up hills with the added weight can go 22-12moh depending on how steep the hill is I always pedal unlike his daughter so always helping the bike. I got over 30 miles with my 2 batteries. Have a 17ah battery and a 20ah battery. I really rather have a 1kw motor as it will be that much better up the hills. In January I am probably going to be getting a second bike and sticking a 5kw motor on it with custom batteries and building a custom trailer to haul 450 pounds. I'll limit the motor speed to 32-35 as I don't like going any faster than that as bikes get more unstable at faster speeds. This will also show people who think you need a gas hog vehicle that you really don't need one if you put the time into a bike. + Not even sure how people can afford a vehicle with everything being like $60k+ for an electric vehicle that is.

I would not buy an e-bike in Vegas. It keeps getting worse here. I hate seeing it turn into L.A. 2.0. Maybe if I lived in Summerlin or new Henderson. But I live in Spring Valley close to the strip. I know for a fact if I used an e-bike, it would get stolen or damaged by some douchebag.

Anyhill scooter. Every other scooter we have tried has died. This thing just keeps going and it’s robust enough that I can write it.

I bought the cheapest Chinese knockoff e-bike I could find back in 2008 during grad school. It was so heavy that I’m pretty sure I got a better workout using it than I would if I’d been hauling a workbench on a regular bike. I loved it, though, and I’m super tempted to try one of these out :)

You missed tin. Durable, hot-cold, light, and historically accurate back to the 1600 for sure. Probably much earlier. Etch it to match your character. It’s a fun pastime between drinks by the fire.
