I love this plugin and have been using it since it came out. Amazing sounding and the touch sensitivity is top notch. Tip each of the components can be inserted into your DAW separately. So you can get that wonderful tall bird reverb on any thing 🎸.

I still love my tube amp, but for practising, I use Scuffham S-gear. It sounds and feels really good to play. Digital has got a lot better over the last few years - Computer power and almost zero latency added to some amazing sounding virtual amps and effects certainly make it easy to play and record without needing to mic up, etc (putting aside IRs for the minute). Saying all that, I doubt you'll ever replicate the visceral experience of using a real cranked tube amp. If I had yo choose one, it would be the real amp without a doubt, but I don't, so I use both!

As always... so much fun too listen to you and your sounds! You are the reason I started to search for vintage amps plugins and lucky me that there is a Benson Chimera plugin! Do you have, by any chance, a way to share these patches - mostly want to tweak and try to create some Spaghetti-Western sounds..... again - thanks to you :) :) ?

Over time I'm becoming less and less of a skeptic but I'll never turn away from my too heavy, too loud but sounds awesome rig! That being said, I think half of my problem is needing a better understanding of how all of it works; so much more complicated than just plugging into an amp, a few good pedals and kicking ass lol! Oh, and great demo, sounds great as always Jay!

Thanks! Yeah, I have really been getting into the perks of the new tech over the last few years. However, you can't pry me away from my amp collection for anything, haha :)

I use my computer, mostly the Amp sims that came with Samplitude - my DAW, and I've used modelers too, but I'm back to amps - and I only own one. I find I just play differently with am amp - I can feel it in my chest in a way I don't feel an amp sim from my studio monitors. But when I need something unlike my Fender, I go to plug ins, and maybe I'll by the Chimera pack too!

I have a tube amp, hot rod deluxe; though live in a studio apartment, so I mostly plug in headphones into a Roland JC-22, and run all my pedals into it to shape a decent tone.

Thanks for the video. I have this and milkman. i also see that your input level gain meter (left upper side of plugin is quite low). I have that too. So this is not a problem? have you plugged in your guitar directly in your audio interface (which one?), no pedals in between? thanks!

tubes are all about touch and responsiveness as much as the sound. sadly no video will ever convey whether that has been truly replicated.

Don't need to. The % of guitarists that can afford $1000s on amp pedal and reverb unit is in the single digits. Amp sims primary market is the remaining 90+%. Also the factor about how loud can u really play.
