The electronics are behind the plastic but what i would not do hit the displays with it, you can destroy it. Best way to clean it, take a microfaser cloth and hit with car cleaning product and you are good to go.

@stauffergarage what made you decide on the vacmaster beast vaccum over the other popular brands like rigid?? Is the vacmaster more powerfull than rigid?? Im looking for something compact that can go on the wall to save space, and that can handle a 20-30 ft hose as well, and maybe a 2nd to handle diy extractor until i can get a mytee 8070. Is the craftsman XPS the same as the vac master beast??Your thoughts and input is much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Hi brother Stauffer, serious enquiry: From personal experience, using the steamer with a brush attachment can cause fading to some plastic parts.. leaving it in a chalky, burned condition.. especially with older cars… do you not experience the same when you use yours, similarly? If not, can you advise on how to avoid this from happening? For reference purposes, I use the dupray hill 304 (stainless steel) steamer unit.. Thank you for taking the time to respond.. I also always wonder about that as the cleaning of the headliner is rarely shown in these videos. Using steam would probably mess up the glue so i imagine just using a microfiber towel with apc and being gentle as possible to clean it.

I've noticed steam cleaning sneaking in over the years. I have seen other detailers use it for stubborn spots but never on the whole vehicle. That was something that took off after the c*vid nonsense and hasn't left. Soap and water is more than enough. It's worked for hundreds of years or even longer. Steam just seems like some upsell that will part a fool and his money. And I'm all for it lol.
