This was very helpful; thank you. I have some suggestions for you: I’m 75 with generous arthritis in both hands and I wish you had talked a bit more about it having to hold the trigger. That’s very important to point out to people. What is the weight of the hand held part? How is the balance? I’d have to use both hands and I’m not all sure I can do that. Do they stand up by themselves? How do they handle dog hair? Untangling hair is a deal breaker for me. Thank you for not speeding up the film and especially for NOT playing music!
@YelloPhase2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I actually own the Tineco A11. It has a switch that lets you hold the trigger down by itself. So that will be easy on your hands. Hope that helps!
@ITechedUp2 жыл бұрын
Hi Melinda thanks for watching. The weight of the Tineco is 5.5 pounds with the the stick attached, 4 pounds without. The weight of the Dyson is 5.9 pounds with the the stick attached, 3.4 pounds without. The balance of the handheld part will depend on the attachment. I will feel weird at first but will come naturally after a while. They both handle long hairs very well in terms of suction and cleaning. Neither vaccum is able to stand on its own. Dyson includes a wall mount. Tineco has a floor base mount. Dyson: No latch for the trigger to stay in place (You have to keep pressing while operating) Tineco: Can be used with or without latch.
@77majestic774 жыл бұрын
I'm lost as to why you picked the Tyson. It had only one thing over the tineco, which was the wider hose but tineco fixed that. a cheaper price, with more accessories plus a wall mount, you chose the Tyson? That fact that they changed their hose let's you know that they are constantly improving. Maybe I missed something in the video that gave the Tyson the edge. But from what I saw, it wasn't even close.
@ITechedUp4 жыл бұрын
I agree that Tinecos are great vacuums, I mentioned it several times in the video. The main reasons I went with the Dyson is because it has an instant start time when you press the trigger and the fact that it sounds better/more power.
@suicidallooneypro4 жыл бұрын
@@ITechedUp the delay in the start isn't a mistake, on power tools and machinery that is called a "soft start" and that is a feature you only get on the premium power tools, so technically it's a premium feature which the Dyson does not have. What is a soft start and what is the point of it? A soft start simply reduces the amount of power being drawn from the tool power source, as with most electronic devices they tend to use the most power on start up. By reducing the power draw on start up it reduces the stress on the long term life of the battery and increases the power left in the battery by not having big shocks of power drawn. This is a a big features the Dyson does not have, especially with the fact Dyson batteries are not changeable. Sorry to say the reason for choosing the Dyson isn't a benefit, a soft start require more electronic which would obviously increase the price of a tool

Thanks for the info...very interesting!
@mikerockstar4 жыл бұрын
I thought this, too! Other than the crevice tool and the soft start, the video appeared to lean towards the Tineco vacuum - light on the motorhead, larger bin, equal or better cleaning ability after at-home test, etc.... and then at the very end, "YEP DEFINITELY PICKING THE DYSON". I found that a bit head scratching.

I just ordered the Tineco A11Hero on Prime Day, and I love it so far. It does what I need it to do without breaking the bank. I don’t have pets or kids living with me so it’s just fine and saved me hundreds over the Dyson. If I had one wish, it would be that it stands on its own, but that’s really all I can think of.

Another thing to consider is that the Dyson is built to be repaired, which surprises me. You cannot clean the cyclone area. It has a metal filter over the cyclone that is not removable. This filter has small holes that are large enough to allow small dust particles to go through. Since you cannot remove the filter or the cyclone, you cannot clean this dust out of the system. Some of it sticks to the inside of the cyclone. Dyson suggested brushing the filter with a brush, but that doesn't do very much, as it just brushes the filter itself. It gets nothing all around it, so all that dust and dirt sticks to the inside of the cyclone. Over time, the dust builds up to the point the vacuum registers a clog and no longer works. Because the cyclone isn't removable, you cannot clean it, thus, you have to send in to Dyson to be repaired. That repair job is a new vacuum, as it's over 100 dollars. Where as the Tineko and other vacuums, their cyclones have a filter inside them you can remove and clean. Plus, the cyclones themselves are removable, so you can clean it under water. The cyclone is directly attached to the motor of the Dyson, so obviously, you can not submerge it in water. To take the cyclone apart, you have to unscrew the cyclone from the body, which is done using a screw driver most will not have. Once it is removed, you have to then pry plastic apart to remove the cyclone from the body, risking breaking it. Once that is done, there is an electrical wire preventing the cyclone from being taken apart. So now you have to do gymnastics in order to unplug the wire as it is tightly put in. Even then, it will be difficult as you have to put pressure on this wire to remove it, peace the cyclone together, move parts to get the wire through, etc... It's ridiculous. For a vacuum the price of a Dyson, the end user SHOULD be able to clean where dirt gets trapped. It's surprising you can't on the Dyson. It is truly built to be repaired. That is why I'm here now. Yes, I wash and change my filters after each use (I have a few filters I rotate out). I am not willing to pay the price to have the vacuum stripped and cleaned, as it will only happen again.

I've used the Shark brand cordless for the past few years and the Dyson identical Dyson product. Both have done well! Recently, I purchased the Tineco S11 and it seems to out DO all the other products so far in various capacities; especially, for the price tag. At the end of the day its all about the products quality and does it live up to the products claims. Is the Dyson really worth the money when compared pound for pound to the Tineco? I' have not been able to justify paying the extra $200.00 to $300.00 more once again for the Dyson brand.

The air coming out of the Tineco vacuum is a little annoying, especially when you're vacuuming around loose pieces of paper and it flies everywhere. Although it doesn't bother me too much knowing that Tineco has an excellent HEPA filtration system and seal, so there's no dust or dirt in the air that's coming out. Most, if not all of the cheaper vacuums you can find in stores do not offer a HEPA filter or very good seal, which is super important once you realize just how much stuff actually gets released back into the air. I can never go back to a cheap vacuum ever again.

No substantive reason why you thought the Dyson was better than the A11? The reality is that the A11 is the far superior vacuum, this guy must be paid by Dyson (could be a freebie). See Vacuum Wars video on the A11, it absolutely destroys the Dyson: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5jQZ3-wgLmqbac The runtime on the Dyson is so abysmally low it is unusable in anything but a small apartment. Not having two batteries that are swappable on the fly is a dealbreaker on its own. Dyson is also incredibly loud and much more expensive. The A11 deep cleaning performance is better than all but the flagship model Dysons (and the A11 isn't even the flagship model Tineco).
@kaylaclark44594 жыл бұрын
I think its because hes comparing the V10 with the A11 Master. The two arent comparable. He should have picked up the S12 if he wanted a superior vacuum. He also started this, saying hes always wanted a dyson and intentionally wanted a dyson. Its hard to talk someone out of that brand. I think Dyson is a better machine in the high price range. But the Tineco is AMAZING in the "im a regular human and cant pay $700 for a vacuum" range.
