Can Twitch Chat Beat Me At Chess?

In this video, I played a game of chess against my Twitch Chat. Unlike previous games (see my Eric Rosen vs Twitch Chat playlist) sub-only chat was turned on for the duration of this game. This removed the presence of the many trolls that previously spammed "Ke2" or "resign". This game features an interesting and serious battle emerging from a London Opening. Oh, and I also played blindfolded. Watch until the end for an epic and unexpected finish!

22:39 Correct me if im wrong, but I think the move to play here was Rb1followed by Rg7 and then u can push the a pawn to a7, then dance the knight around to d7 and then b6 to force the rook out, if the rook stays on the 8th rank u can play rb8, and at this point promoting the a pawn to a queen is unstoppable. Their bishop went h5, so it cant stop any of these attacks. So yea :/.

Majority at the earlier moves are rarely the superior players, instead it's the majority later on in a competent chat group who are probably more refined. Endgames are more concrete on what's right to do, earlygames are an artform where risky openings and responses are made by geniuses at times.

That was very reminiscent of the 1963 Candidates match where Petrosian forgot Geller had a pawn, and later, after fighting back to a draw, accidentally promoted to a bishop.
